Plan B - Ill Manors https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8GvLKTsTuI
One of my favorite tracks of 2012. So powerful.

I know that sampling beats of someone else is usual in the genre, but as the track basically lives from the beat alone it really feels like a bad copy from the German original, by Peter Fox, also known as the lead singer of German Hip Hop+Reggea band Seeed:

Also, the original is actually good, unlike that "Oi, richboy" shit :P

Eko Fresh - Quotentürke (this is kinda Eminem-ish, it's like self-parody, the message is about how people think mistakenly think Turkish people are arabic. By a German-Turkish rapper.)

That is absolutely not what the song is actually about. What gave you the idea? The track is about Germans of Turkish descent not being seen as a true German by others, no matter how well integrated you are - you'll always be the "Quotentürke" (Token Turk, Statutory Turk etc).

After US Hip-hop it's mainly UK/French rap for me.

Kano - Hail

Man Don't Care - Jme ft Giggs

Jme - IF YOU DON'T KNOW

FRENCH

Sexion D'Assaut - Balader

Maître Gims - J'me tire

Been listening to this Korean track as well (its hype)

Keith Ape - 잊지마 (It G Ma) (feat. JayAllDay, Loota, Okasian & Kohh)

Trellion n Sniff less go.

UK been killing it for ages, still quite a small scene but it's been growing. These guys helped pave the way for any UK rappers your hearing now.
Kyza Smirnoff. Anyone remember Terra Firma? Klashnekoff was probably more known but i always preferred Kyza myself.

A UK rapper that definitely never got enough props was Maxi Jazz from Faithless. Faithless were big, but his raps were slept on.

Skinnyman? Legendary track right here. Man was homeless for 18 fucking years, you don't get more street than that brev...Wonder what happened to him.

Task Force
Jehst is still doing it.
Task Force are too actually, they released an album last year (?) May have been this year..

Best UK rappers for me these days would be, in no order..

Lee Scott. "Lee Scott is your favourite UK rapper’s favourite rapper. This is fact, as it is common knowledge that there isn’t really anyone who can, word for word, match his wit and incredible turn of phrase. Lee Scott is blessed with the ability to communicate incredibly complex story lines and concepts with such ease and clarity that you almost forget that everything he is saying is actually rhyming to perfection. "

Not his best known track but i'm loving that one at the moment, "Grab the mic like raps Marshall Applewhite". This guy has an unnerving consistency of both quality and quantity, he's got over 20 releases to his name and shows no signs of slowing down, he released two albums last year (one of which, "Tin Foil Fronts" won Wordplay magazines album of the year), and one album so far this year, which was entirely produced by Dirty Dike.

Jam Baxter. One of the best rappers i've ever heard. Period. Nobody is even close to doing it like he does, go submerge yourself in this mans work and come back and tell me otherwise. Flow, imagery, versatility, consistency, originality etc etc Jam Baxter is a heavyweight from any way you're looking at him.

Ed Scissortongue. May be relevant to OP's interests Should be at the absolute forefront of British music imo. He's one of the rillest in the game and together with Lamplighter they're one of the illest and most progressive combinations in music.

If you've been clicking the links you've probably noticed most of them go to High Focus records, which is probably the best place to find UK hip-hop at the moment, there's quite the variety of rappers on there. Blah records and Mouse Outfit are worth checking out as well.

Swedish Hip Hop is pretty good.

Henry Bowers is good in both Swedish and English, and among older stuff Looptroop has the classic track "Long Arm of the Law" which I think goes down well in any country.

If one were to apply the "authenticity of sentiment" yardstick (which, admittedly, is rather arbitrary) and take into consideration hip-hop that originated from societal grievances (just like US hip-hop did), I don't see how one would consider South American, African, Russian or French (I particularly like the sound of rapped French) hip-hop inferior in authenticity compared to their US progenitor.

I never cared much for Swedish hip-hop in general, but there are a few gems here and there. The most notable one in recent years would be Silvana Imam, a half Syrian/half Lithuanian feminist rapper. I shit you not, only in Sweden. :D

She was on Sway a while ago. Some of my favorites from her:

Can't find the other one I like, Svär På Min Mamma, on Youtube or SC (it's all Spotify in this country nowadays).

Her image + attitude becomes a bit grating at times, but she has both the raw talent and the production to back it up.

There are some great rappers in Denmark.

One of them is Pede B, who got the title of being the best freestyle rapper in Denmark. At his concerts he does a track where he raps about whatever the audience throws in the air, and it's amazing to see how he just goes on nonstop.

One of the few rappers where his albums get better instead of worse. This track here is from his second newest album:

No matter your nationality you should take a listen to the rap group Suspekt. They got some really controversial tracks, with one having a track which is basically just a lady moaning, and most of their tracks are not safe for work.
This one is their latest single and I find it to be a good example of their great beats:

Kendrick Llamar even borrowed, and paid ofcource, for one of their beats to one of his songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oj7F14vITFk

One of the rappers from the group, Orgi-E, made a track with an orchestra that is top tier and is a must listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oTJzTmmA_g

Barring my avatar (seriously ignore it for this) but neither of those two are rappers. They might be now (CL is extremely suspect) but both of them were brought up in the Hallyu system. They only became rappers when it was fairly obvious YG was grooming them to be the golden gooses when both of their idol groups expired around this time.

See what you did here is what started killing US rap for me . I knew about the artist before they blew up and knew all this stuff about them so I couldn't just enjoy the music. I only know them as Rappers and enjoy them for that. They remind me when hip hop was fun and the videos were all over the top. I do think CL should focus on just being a singer because she will make it bigger that way.

The thing is, even if CL just debuted as a rapper, you can't distance yourself from the fact that she was brought in an idol creating company.

And to be honest, CL is probably just as bad at stereotyping as her contemporary Iggy Azalea is. Some of the stills in The Baddest Female will be roasted by music critics when she debuts, as it should be.

Drake had lots of baggage and stuff about him and look where he is. She can sing and dance and all that so I think she should stick to that. I don't think Iggy Azalea can do anything or has any talent but then again I haven't followed hip hop in awhile.
