It's a shame some really old members don't really post anymore. I guess when you've been on here that long, you've seen it all.

Oh man, that was some crazy shit.

God, looking at a few of those old threads, seeing the long gone user names...

Alas, poor MAF. I knew him, hitokage, a fellow of infinite jest.

Wow, what luck. I almost never start threads. In 10 years, I've started only something like 20 threads, and one of mine is in there (asking Boa to identify a snake. I think it was the time a copperhead was inside my office, but not sure)

Opa-Opa, Futami, Deadmeat and the rest are still great entertaining posters.

Man I remember all of these posters. What ever happened to Opa-Opa? Does he still post here?

Totally forgot we used to have sigs.

Also I now realize that this avatar is at least six years old. Now that's staying power.

Guys.

I would like to say that I'm sorry about being one of the founding father of the girl-age trend. I'm really sorry. I was young and foolish.

All I remember is GAF 2005 and up. 2000 seems ages ago, I was still in middle school and didn't even own a computer.

Damn, I wish I was around back then. Its hard to believe I've been a member for like half a year only. Feels like a life time.

So much history. The difference from post count per threads to today's standards is awesome.

There should be a reunion of some kind for old GAF.

Believe it or not I was actually a forum administrator back in the EZBoard days :o

(shit that was almost a decade ago :lol)

Wow that was interesting to read, i didnt find this place untill 2007 so reading all these old posts its kinda funny how it all still reads the same.

God, I would soooo love to see how this place was when Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were unveiled. :(

For the latter, it's a shame that the forum crashed the very month after! >:(

Yeah, but what about the "Honor and Shame" copy-paste one? (Or is that outside GAF?)
Pretty sure that's a GAF original, joining the shortlist of FHUTA, megaton, and... I dunno. Is I believe this news a GAF original?

Didn't IGN come up with megaton? I think it was in an IGN Cube article and it turned out to be something incredibly lame.

Interesting history lesson. I had no idea GAF was that old. And they were once sponsored by IGN? That's like the Zerg and Protoss finding out that they both descended from the Xelnaga.

Whats this pictures story?
Seraphitia aka Verboten took pictures found on some girl's website and used them as if they were personal photos. Eventually somebody found that website and made a thread about it.

Is there a link to the old thread where the christian site got photoshopped into all kinds of suggestive stuff? It was a little bit before my time iirc but I got some good laughs from it. Strange to think I've been here like 6ish years though. Time flies.

I was under the impression that Federman was the first to use the term, but I could be wrong. Certainly he was responsible for turning it into a hugely big deal, setting up the later disappointment-ton.

For the guy asking about the "honor and shame" meme, I think this is the original.

Wow, this is pretty cool. Exhumed bodies never smelled so pleasant. Can't believe some of us have been here that long. War has changed. :(
You made bjork cry. :(

Good old days when I used to lurk on my friends account. Much simpler times when I just browsed fan sites instead of going to forums or anything.

It's missing the Megaton announcement. And KiNeSiS's experience with buying Def Jam Vendetta.

Also, I didn't know Mandark posted on gaming topics.

That's in the GAF Quotes thread.

Also, I didn't know Mandark posted on gaming topics.
He also used to post on the IGN forums, until his habit of mocking ManaByte got him kicked out, I think.
