Yeah, I agree with an OT: Sports forum... it's sometimes annoying trying to try and keep up with the monster weekly NFL threads and so on (let alone 20-some page threads about an ongoing season)... but I'm not sure if people would post in more than one thread anyhow, which would render a sports forum pretty much pointless.

I guess a test might be in order

We restrict it to 1 single thread because it's 1, easier to find throughout the other threads that get started, and 2, not to annoy others, because we'd just as easily start a thread for each game and probably get 50 posts+ easily per game.


It'd be nice though. I wouldn't mind a test.

I say no personally. The 2 forum format means I always see the sports threads because I go to the OT in general. Look how dead the online forum is even though there were flourishing online discussion threads, etc. when they were on the gaming forum. It's a bad idea that ends up splitting up the discussion from its already well-established place.

I'd think a trial attempt would be nice. Being able to make individual threads for certain big games would be really nice.

I hardly post in the sports threads anymore unless it's a specialty new thread, as it's just too difficult to keep up with the massive amount of posts.

I also think a Sports Forum would receive much heavier traffic than the online forum.
