No way did I lose 17 buildings. I lost 2 guard towers and maybe 4-6 sections of a wall. I think the game counts walls in some sort of funny manner.

ive never played aoe3, I guess I cant try it out now that I found it uses smartE and not starforce (i dont pirate but starforce rapes/rootwares essential windows files for no reason apparently from what ive read on here).

Wow, looks like a ton of fun. I'm going out to buy Civ4 right now!

AoE3 is good and all, but comparing it to Kohan seems a bit odd as it has none of the depth Kohan had. No terrain, no flanking bonuses or anything fancy. Its about as vanilla an RTS as you can find, even something like DoW trumps it in depth by a long shot.

Half of AoE3's appeal IS the multimedia aspects. The roar of the cannons; the rupture of the buildings; the elaborate troop formations. It's fairly standard rock-paper-scissors RTS design with some great twists like the card elements, but OH MAN IT LOOKS AND SOUNDS SOOOO GOOOOOD.

I saved one of my card purchases for when I hit level 10, cause a whole bunch of new awesome cards are unlocked. Once everyone has a good deck the PvP team shit will get pretty crazy and warariffic.
