My only problem with them is I feel like they write a good 60 second tune and bloat it to 3 minutes. They just hammer you with hooks and choruses non stop.

I liked their first album, but once I refined my taste I realised how shit they are.

But I'm glad you like them OP, that's why music is so special, it's value lies in the eye of the beholder.

How dare OP make this thread and not reply even once

What does he like about them? What's his favorite song? Etc

Sorry that you have shit taste, we can't all be winners.

It’s cool OP, I never got hung up on what all the dudes considered acceptable and cool, it’s pretty much a curse to have to listen to shit like Primus and and have to pretend to enjoy it. I’d rather be happy humming along to Backstreet Boys.

It also helps if you can easily beat up most dudes. You’re less likely to call a guy’s music a pussy selection when said guy could tie your trachea in a reef knot 👍

Bad Lyar and Thunder was songs which I listened to after liver transplant surgery. So I have special feeling towards them. I also find out that the singer is doing live streams, where he creates music from scratch, it was pretty educational. So no, I don't think that they are some cookie cutter project... They are good.

How do you go from making shit like 1979 and then you make this. Look in the mirror! Who do you see Bill?

They apparently wanted to make something that sounded 'contemporary' , which is so silly when they're capable of making stuff that sounds 'timeless', as you mentioned.

Even the one before this wasn't half bad. I was really excited since I thought they had another great record in them after shaking off the rust but... eh

I’ll never forget when I was a radio DJ, the PD had that Radioactive song scheduled in what felt like to play every 15 minutes.

it’s forever burned into my brain.

I’d rather be in Imagine Dragons for a thousand lifetimes than this guy for an hour.

Lays it on thick don’t he? 😅
