Are we gonna keep pretending like Lord of War isn't the best Nic Cage movie?

Yes it's better than Faceoff. Yes it's better than Mandy. Yes it's better than The Rock (close af, though). And it's of course better than Con Air.

For how much longer are we gonna deny ourselves the truth, and admit that Lord of War is his magnum opus?😎If you have never seen it, you should feel ashamed right now.

Has one of my favorite endings too

I rewatch this movie once a year

There's a sequel coming from the same director with Nick Cage called Lords of War. That guy who played Pennywise in the It movies is playing the antagonist in that film

So are we just going to do bad movie take topics every time the last one loses steam?

Step 1: Name movie that is good but obviously not the best in it's category. Others post better movies.

Step 2: ?

Step 3: Profit!

It's great, but it isn't the best. Probably not even top five.

Purely off the top:

Raising Arizona
The Weather Man
Bringing Out the Dead
Face / Off
Matchstick Men

Really? I can't find any info about Lords of War. When is it supposed to come out?

The problem with Faceoff is that Nic Cage didn't play the crazy mofo that he was throughout the whole movie. If he did, it might've been better than Lord of War.

Except it has the part with John Travolta wearing Cage's face in prison and he has to act like Cage's character to maintain his cover.

So in other words, you have actor Nicolas Cage acting like John Travolta acting like Nicolas Cage!

He still got it.

Oh yeah, he was great In Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Honestly, while most of the movie was fun, I could have easily had been entertained simply by 90 minutes of him and Pedro Pascal getting high, talking movies and their ridiculous plan to make one, and getting up to stupid shenanigans. Because those scenes when they were doing any of that together was so much fun.

It's good, but I don't think it's better than The Rock.

Cage is carrying Lord of War more than he is The Rock though I'd say.

Lord of War
Leaving Las Vegas
Willy Wonderland
The Color Out Of Space
Matchstick Men
Spider-Man Into The Spiderverse
The Rock
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
The Crood
National Treasure Movies
The Family Man
Bringing Out The Dead
Mandy
Mom And Dad
Face/Off
The Wicker Man

I can't wait for that Spider-Man Noir Show. From what was leaked it looks amazing and I'm happy Nick Cage is playing the main lead. It's a first for him too in regards to doing a TV Show. I don't think he ever acted in a show before

Man, I used to re-watch the final dialogue with Ethan Hawk so many times. Sends a chill down your spine. Such good writing.

I didnt like it.

But they should do the sequel where a vegetable braindead president trades him for a giant lesbian basketball player

it's definitely Niccol's best directed film, but that's not much praise when stacked against his other films.

The movie got average reviews on release, but I thought it was pretty decent. Not the greatest film of all time, but a solid, enjoyable movie.

Is it Nic Cage's best acting role? No. Not in my opinion. Not even the top ten Nic Cage roles.
