• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

Now that TM Online isn't crap...

...lets start a GAF game!

Anyone up for some TM DM?

I'm going to start a game in the East Lobby with the password "ga (lower case, no quotations).

Come one come all.

Also from now on lets standardize the game room and pass as GAF and ga respectively...make this a lot easier. If we're going to have more than one GAF room, make it GAF1/2/3 etc with the same pass.

Well I'm in Asia, so while the lag is good enough to play smoothly, I don't think it would be a good idea for me to host. Come on, SOMEONE save us! :D

I'll try it once more, the game is GAF pass ga in East Lobby

YAY! 'GAF' rooms a-go-go
but I won't be online 'till later tonight... (then I shal be a good host...)

post your gamertags here too:

wait so are people not getting booted anymore or whatever the problem was?

Sony has been working on the servers and they're now very stable. Basically everyone can connect now as of yesterday

TM with analogue is not TM, I don't even know how you'd use the special moves with the analogue.

I use analog for general movement actually, because it's faster. I use the dpad to do special moves and for more precise handling. Oh and get your ass into the game, we're waiting. :D

oh whoever just joined the game and stole my kill is gonna DIE

The frag stealing in that tokyo game was just ridiculous

Bah, i'm out....signal keeps dying

GG's

Whoever joined the game was brutal! :lol

Yeah not only was there tons of steal killing (come on, everyone did it :D) but nothing beats wiping 2-3 of you at once with Outlaw's special. :D

Edit: I might be back later on. I wonder if we can get enough for a full 6 person game.

so what is wireless internet gaming on a handheld (with stable servers) like? How does it compare to its console wired counterpart.

Well you can frag GAFFERS while on the can!

I still haven't been able to join a game but at least I can host now. Damn that was fun =)

Yup, damn fun games.

I concur, that guy joined and straight up owned the first game he played. Things went better for us on the subsequent matches.

Oh and to the naysayers that said TM wouldn't be fixed and sold their copies, haha.

Well I'd imagine it would function exactly the same. Only now the entire game is in your hands!

Time to get Twisted Metal: Head On soon.

How is two player co-op?

It's awesome, you don't feel thethered to anything or anywhere. Go lie back in you bed, couch, anywhere and frag some GAFFERS. There's just an insanely cool feeling when playing a handheld online.

It feels AWESOME, but otherwise it's largely the same. The setup for TMHO is really A+ since you can join games in progress, there's spectator modes, tons of matching options, etc. The main difference is that i can lie on my bed with really nothing connected at all. It's kinda magical the first time you try it, then as you get used to it it's just a really cool new technology for online gaming. :lol
