Awesome! If they make a sequel and improve certain aspects it could be outstanding. It would be nice to have the sequel still on the DS so I don't need to buy new hardware too, personally.

What have been the previous months' gaps?
I have ~30K for May - ergo ~7.5K weekly.
60K for June is ~12.5K weekly (5 week month)

I wonder if they are simply leaving it as is right now since the 3DS is being sold at a loss. It'll be interesting to see when they finally kill off the DS line.
They're not terrible, PS3 has been the second best selling platform in the US for months, Sony just doesn't like to disclose their sales numbers (if they're nothing huge to brag about).
As said in the other thread, since Lego: Batman 2 3DS did worse than Wii and DS versions, it seems 3DS is full of Marvel fans and lacks of DC ones, lol.

Anyway Nintendo telling us they sold such a shitty amount of Wiis seems to indicate they dont give a fuck anymore. Hope they keep releasing all their numbers.

This month they can trumpet NDS sales being surprisingly robust, and a Y/Y increase in 3DS, even though the Wii is thoroughly dead.
For Sony, there's no point bragging about being second in home consoles and doing terribly in handhelds.
April's was technically a bigger per week gap. 15K/week, 4 week month.

Did the DS actually get any pricecut? I remember I bought it for 150 in 2005 and last year it was still 150, granted there have been many iterations.
(150k+155k)/0.75= 406k
406k - 305k= 101k
It's combined because we don't have a better guess, not because NPD is releasing the numbers combined, gosh

I can't decide if those Lollipop Chainsaw numbers are good or bad. They are better than pretty much anything else that Grasshopper has ever done but I have to wonder how much money WB threw into advertising for it and if they made that money back. One thing is certain, however. I really liked the game and hope a sequel is made!

Now, seriously, I'm curious to see when there won't be Lego DS games anymore. Having them just on 3DS and not 3DS + DS would help the transition too. Probably, next year it'll be the time.

Maybe I'm just a pessimist, but IMO the whole industry is doing terribly. Xbox 360 hardware is doing okay. Software and all other hardware ... bleh.

I doubt the game broke the bank for WB, even with the slightly aggressive ad campaign and the Hollywood voice talent that they stacked it with. If for nothing else, Suda sure knows how to work a budget.

the DS Lite was selling like crazy at a $130 pricepoint so there's no reason to expect a pricedrop to $100 for the 3DS any time soon; as long as the software is there, the hardware sales should come
