I find it odd that neither Geoff Keighley or Ian Sherr are tweeting about NPD at all
Can someone explain to me why Madden selling best on PS4 is so significant? Wouldn't that just be expected by this point?
But Eddie Griffin said Vita did good?
NPD Ninjas, y'all.I find it odd that neither Geoff Keighley or Ian Sherr are tweeting about NPD at all

Come on, guys. Digital version is not accounted for PS4 too.

.So XB1 doubled sales from July. Yet Ps4 and Ps3 combined outsold 360 and XB1 combined in Madden month.
Either Ps3 had a considerable increase in sales (for some reason), or Ps4 had the best August Eva.
Ahhhh yes... it's software revenues that doubled. That point isn't for hardware at all.
You'd think they'd clarify what it was they were talking about.
Don't understand the surprise too.
In not saying it's ninjas.I find it odd that neither Geoff Keighley or Ian Sherr are tweeting about NPD at all
Revenue doubling makes a lot more sense than hardware doubling. I mean, Madden released, and that was basically it.
It is going to be boring from here on out. Copy and paste previous month's stories.
Bring out the blackboard.PR statement from MS:
Wait, what?Classic Microsoft spin! Releasing shipped numbers on NPD day...how much more devious could they get?
Don't understand the surprise too.
We don't know how the bundles did. There may be hope for MS yet.
Well at least software sales for CoD, the most important franchise, were higher on X1 than PS4 last month. That's something to hold onto.
Yep still plenty of dudes on Xbox, for now. MS hasn't lost the war yet.
Jesus guys. Sales doesn't include bundles and digital purchases which would be huge because of EA Access.
Madden is for MS what Fifa for Sony

Madden NFL 25′ topped 1 million units in its first week, down 650,000 from last year.

EA Access is on Xbox One only.
If the PS4 lead keeps getting bigger every month, then yes I think it will.
September is an easy win for Sony.
October will probably be won as well due to the carrying over of hype from Destiny and more importantly, FIFA.
November = Whoever has the best deals. PS4 has the advantage obviously.
December = Same as November.
I predict PS4 wins every single month from now on this year.
You can still buy the digital version on ps4.
I think the point he's making is that with EA access you get 10% off, making it cheaper than retail so people might be more inclined to go digital on XB1.You can still buy the digital version on ps4.
EA Access is on Xbox One only.
Not good enough.
It is?
I don't see that way.
Didn't Madden 25 PS4 edition out sell the Xbox One edition?
So now a Year later with that many more PS4's sold over Xbox One's... why are people shocked to see this? It happen last Year too. With an even smaller gap of install base.
MS PR is saying GTA V is coming this Fall? YESSSSSS!!!
Boring month for NPD. Things will get better in September with Destiny and the Fall season finally kicking off.
Are they able to talk about them freely or do they need permission? Because if it's the latter, *cough*cough*
Why did EA not do a Madden PS4 bundle? Are they still trying to play king-maker?
Still, you're right, with PS4's install base, this same thing might even happen with Call of Duty.
Can someone explain to me why Madden selling best on PS4 is so significant? Wouldn't that just be expected by this point?
Of couse, but EA Access is a factor to bring more people to digital version.
Perhaps this month but September, and the rest of the year should be interesting. And certainly not just from a hardware perspective
Lego Marvel Super Heroes (360, PS3, Wii U, PS4, 3DS, DS, Xbox One, Vita, PC)
Pretty sure the console makers need to pay for the bundles, and there are likely exclusive deals in place. Why did EA not do a Madden PS4 bundle? Are they still trying to play king-maker?
1. PS4 and XBone sales in the US are fairly close. PS4 only has about a 20% advantage.
2. Traditionally Xbox franchises like COD still sell better on the Xbone during most months
3. The Madden crowd are the core Xbox owners. It's like seeing Final Fantasy selling better on an Xbox platform.
But we don't know ea access numbers.
