"February was a fantastic month for Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, the newest entries in the critically acclaimed strategy RPG series from Nintendo. The games took two top-10 spots on the best-sellers list from the NPD Group, which tracks U.S. video game sales. In little more than a week, the two versions of Fire Emblem Fates totaled nearly 400,000 combined units sold, including physical and digital versions. This far outpaces 2013s Fire Emblem Awakening game, the series previous record-holder in the United States, and is a testament to both the longstanding popularity and rapidly growing fan base of the franchise.
Momentum should continue with todays release of Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation, a digital-only third version of the game available for purchase to anyone who owns either Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright or Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. Fans have weekly DLC to look forward to purchasing, as well.
February also saw the digital debut of the 2D Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Yellow games in Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. The games instantly shot to the top of the charts, and together, combined to break the first-week Nintendo eShop sales record previously held by Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
With classic graphics and timeless gameplay, these versions of the original Pokémon adventure are proving to be a popular way for fans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series."
While Naruto does well in the West, Far Cry 4 did over 7 million copies LTD and Far Cry 3 was even higher at 10+ million.
Black Ops 3 is the best selling game of this generation and GTA V is basically the best selling console game of all time, so they have good legs.
Who did they lose?

"The unmatched lineup of games available on Xbox One continues to generate a strong response from gamers as seen through global Xbox Live engagement and exclusive game sales. Compared to February 2015, exclusive Xbox One U.S. game sales drove a 49 percent increase and the total number of hours spent gaming on Xbox One worldwide rose 93 percent. Earlier this week, we launched the Xbox One Tom Clancys The Division Bundle to coincide with Ubisofts release of Tom Clancys The Division and looking ahead to this spring, fans can look forward to the upcoming release of the highly-anticipated Quantum Break, launching on both Xbox One and Windows 10 on April 5, as well as the built-for-Windows 10 visual showcase, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. We are truly grateful to our fans for choosing to play the greatest games lineup in Xbox history across Windows 10 devices, and are excited to share more in the coming months on our full lineup of holiday exclusives as well as new innovations, features and experiences coming to Xbox One, Windows 10 and Xbox Live. Windows 10 was mentioned almost as many times as XBO in that release.
Hahahaha this Is priceless xD
TL;DR version: Fates is comprised of three different games, with the two released at retail in standard versions offering different gameplay focuses, completely different stories and cast of characters. There's a third version that combines the casts of both games and reuses a few maps, but it too tells its own story.
Yeah, you are probably right. This might be the last big fighter from Capcom we'll see.Can I be a pessimist and say this is the last big Street Fighter we'll see?
Hows Xbox doing in the UK right now?
When MS says "Unmatched Lineup" what are they comparing it too? It really reeks of trying to hard, they need to use something else.

Years later, GTA V (AKA Game of the Year 2013) still charting.
BOOM
So they are 3 different games. Thus should be counted differently. SFV beat all 3 FE games then. That's like my saying SFIV is sold 10 million+ copies cause i combined all 5 versions.

Themselves. They've never had as many games as they do now on XB1.
Last official numbers was 1 million back in November 2014 lol.
It's definitive over 2 million now, but we missed the annunced.
Fire Embem is impressive. So how does that compare to the other big strategy game of the month Xcom 2? Do we have any estimates on that one?
"the total number of hours spent gaming on Xbox One worldwide rose 93 percent"
Hahahaha... congrats?
I dunno 360 had some good years.

NPD is counting it as three different SKUs, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
We can work out recent numbers to get the XB1 at ~2.5m
Wait, HW is down a good bit YoY, but PS4 is up YoY?
That really can't be good for MS.
Well, alrighty.Microsoft PR:

Wow at Far Cry opening above 4, that's pretty impressive.
And did SFV bomb? Did it launch late in the month?

Ōkami;198100029 said:So Fates is a millon seller, second game on the series to do so and should also be the second best selling game in the series.
Shame about it's scattered release, with it releasing in Europe on FY2016 it's unlikely we'll ever truly know how much it'll sell LTD.
We need NPD numbers for # of hours spent on GAF.
According to Cosmic this is not accurate.
Hows Xbox doing in the UK right now?
If you need to do that for the first new Street Fighter release this generation to beat a niche strategy RPG, then it's still not a great look for it considering how popular it is across online play, esports and general cultural recognition in the west.So they are 3 different games. Thus should be counted differently. SFV beat all 3 FE games then. That's like my saying SFIV is sold 10 million+ copies cause i combined all 5 versions.
