Tomodachi wa Mahou
Yeah nobody went out to buy a new 3DS with the new 3DS coming out in a month. Must have really cratered.
its dying lights sales. its under 500 thousand and ps4 had around 56% of sales.
Can someone break that line down for me? I haven't got a clue
True, the difference could be as little as 7-10k.
November NPD will be interesting!
But that doesn't seem to jive with the hardware renvenue being down. Even if the PS3, x360, 3DS and PSVita all cratered compared to last year
It's not getting horrible reviews though?
Be interesting to see if we know what the numbers for PS4/X1 were.
What was the US gap after december.
350k?
People really expect Bloodborne to move the mass market? LOL.
Software Average Retail Price... which in 2014 jumped to $27 from $24 in 2013 thanks to the console transition.
Tie ratios are tougher to calc on an aggregate due to which platforms you do or don't include, but the new gen consoles are holding their own there, too. When you include Digital, tie ratios are up big versus prior gen launch.
Then the installed bases, which are both still fantastic.
From any way you look at it, both boxes are having incredible starts and should provide confidence to anyone looking at the space.
I disagreed with your thought process in the other thread I disagree with you here. It's not just about sales, you simply think every X1 exclusive will be average or below average.
I can't really argue with someone with their mind already made up.
Not to mention only the first 2 (?) sentences really was relevant to our discussion.

First they didnt keep it a $350. Second, Collapsed from what? December? Of course they. So did the PS4. If that was what you were talking about why even bring it up? Collapsed from last year? They beat last year.
When did Sony announce 18m sold WW (was that Nov)? Today's PR states 18.5m sold WW. Seems like demand for PS4 tailing off?
I know this a NPD thread, but Sony mentioned WW in their statement.
Wii U is ~64k.
We can figure others with that.

But, where are you getting this from man?
The only X1 game I think will be terrible is Fable Legends and I'll admit a lot of that is result of my dissapointment with the general direction of that franchise since the 2nd and 3rd one.
I think QB is going to be a high 80 Meta game, it's going to be great. I'll be buying Forza 6, which will no doubt also be a mid 80s-low 90s meta. Halo 5 will be a solid game (even if I personally don't like the direction the MP is going), TR is also going to be a solid, mid 80s meta title and you can bet I'm looking forward to a Gears Collection.
It seems to me that you're seeing what you want to see here.

But which one the 12% or 8% is the Wii U since 3DS seems to have collapsed.
Not being #1 doesn't mean it didn't help or didn't do wonders. The Xbox One would've been far below the PS4 without Titanfall.
What's the 1.64%? I assume 7.13 is Vita?
Oh daaaamn, the PS4 back on top.
okay thanksC means console, so I'm assuming this means 8% is 360, the one a bit behind is PS3, and the 1% or whatever is Wii.
I calculate roughly 193k for PS4 and 153k for X1 based on these assumptions
I think

According to Aqua's contribution to the Predictions OP, Walmart is not carrying the TLOU bundles.
not for long.
just a general question for these NPDs: does the hardware numbers generally not get disclosed?

C means consoles, right? No handhelds? So I'm assuming this means 8% is 360, the one a bit behind is PS3, and the 1% or whatever is Wii.

Why are people trying to downplay attach rate? As if that isn't one of the actual most important numbers to look at for publishers?
It's much better to lose by 10k than 100k.
What's the 1.64%? I assume 7.13 is Vita?
Bish approved?PS4 192k
XB1 153k
I..kind of think the 1.64% is most likely Vita unless Wii is also being tracked in these numbers.
The #1 spot couldn't have gone to a fresher, more exciting game. Congrats Techland!
Also congrats to Sony for being back where you're supposed to be.

DL is fresh and exciting? it has been done to death before.

Well that is a safe prediction then. Sales in January will collapse compared to December. Great work.
