Can you comment on Vita, Creamsugar?
And how accurate that ~42K for Wii U is?

Bad choice not to offer this demo games for such sales confirmed.wario ~ 12k
Yea, they have a history of that. Shipped not sold (so it's already disingenuous) + includes digital. It was important to give that 3.4 million PR before (the assumed) NPD numbers came out. It only makes sense.

1. There is no data suggesting TLOU did 775k
2. 3.4m figure includes digital sales
3. Everybody reports shipped

When did the tracking period end? Wario came out June 23rd.

Those Nintendo Directs are really doing a lot for the Wii U!
That was written a while back, but it gives you an idea of how things were from May to June. With no change at all from May, this is what you'd see, adjusting for 5 week month from 4 week month:
3DS - 144K
360 - 143K
PS3 - 106K
WIU - 41K
PSV - 20K
The 3DS should see a bump from Animal Crossing. The 360 got a revised system, and that should give a modest bump. And the PS3 probably saw a little bump from TLoU. All my opinion, of course, but these should be baselines.
Sony needs to let Naughty Dog do WHATEVER they want to do. Just give them $50MM and back the hell away.
Start a third team. Start a fourth team. Huge royalties.
Just don't ever start drama.
Well seems it did 948k. Pretty good, but still a 2.45 million shortfall. If it's shipped that figure wouldn't include digital sales.
Minecraft did more than 350k retail?!
HOLY SHIT.

Was there a heatwave, though. That's the important thing. When did the tracking period end? Wario came out June 23rd.
Not that I'm excusing those poor numbers though.
I think others have pointed out they don't think a 12GB would fly in the US; but a 32GB would. Perhaps they're waiting for costs to reduce enough for a profitable 32GB in the US.I still don't know why they didn't launch the 12gb model in US. Cheap barebones model would be perfect for customers buying it to play just one big game like The Last of Us. Maybe they will this fall with little bigger storage than the original EU model (12gb). $169 for 32gb model and $199 for HDD model.... DO it.
Game & Wario is like, the absolute least appealing game ever. It was so bound to tank hard.

*1 Including both Blu-ray(TM) disc sell-in number and download version

Indeed. I wish they had taken the time to make a proper WarioWare title instead. At least that might've had some potential for sales.
Holy crap wario was a waste of everyones time. The biggest nintendo bomba since sin and punishment 2
Xbox 360 - 140,000 (-45.5%)
PS3 - 108,000 (-44.6%)
Terrible month for HD twins, I don't want to check my NPD prediction
Was there a heatwave, though. That's the important thing.
So we got,
1. 3DS - 225K
2. 360 - 140K
3. PS3 - 108K
4. Wii - 52K
5. Wii U - 42K
6. Vita - ? (probably ~20K based on the flatness of June to May from jvm's post)
Just need the Vita number (or small range) for predictions, then.
Wow, AC:NL did 120k+ digitally, very impressive.
Price drops needed. Why they hell would anyone spend $250-$300 on a PS3 or $200-$300 on a Xbox 360 when PS4 launches soon at $400? One of my friends really wanted to pick up a PS3 for TLoU but the price was too high to justify it with PS4 coming so soon. If the console was sub $200 he might have bit.
Correction: 985k
The 3.4m figure include both shipped and digital sold through sales, whats so hard to understand?
Some of that is the system bundle. Apparently ~20-25K of the 120K.
