NPR: Ted Cruz says science doesn't support climate change

It's nice that the article pointed out his argument's faults, but unless it's countered right there and then it's not effective. It's a classic debate tactic, and Cruz is very good at debating, to just throw out as much bullshit as possible so that you won't be able to stop or refute all of his claims, earning him "points" with the audience.
Lets point out the articles errors. The big one is that the Antarctic Sea Ice completely melts each summer. This in not true for either pole but extremely wrong for the Antarctic. The Antarctic expedition that got stuck in Sea Ice did so in the summer (South of the equator winter in the north is summer in the south) and the rescue ship got stuck also. Everyone had to be evacuated by Helicopter and I think the ships abandoned..

The article says: "At the other pole, Antarctic land ice is melting at a fantastic rate, and the slight increase in sea ice is not even coming close to making up for it. Deniers love to point at the sea ice, but that comes and goes every year and is roughly stable; the land ice is melting away at huge rates." But fails to report that NASA says the Land Ice is still increasing faster than melt rates and Sea Ice is at a 13th record high. It's also suspected that some of the Antarctic melt areas are over Volcano vents
