as expected its a die shrunk maxwell. it actually has less changes than even i expected. also confirms that maxwell was incapable of async compute at a hardware level
*makes hand jerking motion*LOL at everyone who doubted me.
Sitting on a 980ti and I know I should wait for the 1080ti, but I'm starting to get that upgrade itch...

so far.. its double the performance of my GTX970 haha. its nuts. I can't wait to get one of these.![]()
I personally think it's worth waiting for 980ti owners, but I'm sure those that jumped in early on that card have large budgets anyway. I'll certainly be looking to go to a 1080ti or Titan when they get released.
So 4K 30fps it is
Agreed. If the next Titan is as overpriced (and trumped by the 1080 Ti shortly after) I'll skip that but a 4K @ 120 Hz G-Sync display and a 1080 Ti might be a pretty good pairing.
I don't pay much notion to 1440p scores for these cards as my 980 Ti can run everything really nice at that resolution.

Here we go. When it was rumored and I said it'd eclipse a 980Ti, everyone laughed. When I'm saying the announced 1080 will be brilliant, everyone tells me to stfu and wait.*makes hand jerking motion*
These benchmarks are pointless without the 1070 to compare it with to see the value proposition. When is the embargo up on the 1070?
More interested in 970 > 1070 comparisons. That's the real 'reasonably' priced card.
10 fps lead on the Ti is not worth upgrading for.
Yeah, I'm looking at a G-Sync 165Hz 1440p monitor as I'd rather have the frames rather than the full resolution, but a resolution bump and 1080ti should scream on it.
Maybe splitting hairs, seems like 25-30% improvement to meSo around 20-25% faster then a 980ti?
Has the UK price been announced?
Apparently the 165 Hz is a bit of a gimmick really and not something you can really notice though. So don't rule out 144 Hz displays either.
Founders Edition RRP from Guru3d:
Polish Zloty PLN 3,599
Bit pricey in the UK but I'll probably pick up a non-reference card when they're revealed.
Is this for the founders edition? (What is the difference between founders and standard?)
Oh no five people were wrong about a blind prediction and now can enjoy a good product. Here we go. When it was rumored and I said it'd eclipse a 980Ti, everyone laughed. When I'm saying the announced 1080 will be brilliant, everyone tells me to stfu and wait.
Now we're here and everyone can eat crow. Sit in the corner and eat it.
Will probably upgrade from my 970 to a 1080.
Wondering if I should upgrade my CPU too, it's a 3570K.

I feel like upgrading my 280x but at the same time it still runs things decently![]()
This is the killer card for all (previous gens anyway) 970/980 users.
For OC TI/Titan users this is not enough. Expecting the TI to massively curbstomp.
789 for a "hairdryer" cooler card is really hefty but expected due to the expensive new process. Hopefully lots of these get sold so that the TI cards come with less of a FinFet tax.
Seems like high as opposed to very high in games can get you 60. Just not 60 on the highest presets. The average performance seems to be 4K@45 actually.
