Yeah as a person that is getting a Titan (well hopefully if I can score one), there is a lot of threads all over that are bashing people for buying it. It happens here at times, but not as bad as other forums. For me, I know people think I am a little nuts being that I game on my 55" Sony XBR HDTV so that means 1080p at max and I currently have a GTX 690 on Water along side a 3930x overclocked to 4.8 on water as well with a ASUS Rampage IV Mobo. Even with that, there are games that I cannot max at 60fps and every option turned to it's max. Witcher 2 is a good example *uber mode* as well as Metro 2033 and a few others. I hear Crysis 3 I would not be able to max.
I am one of those gamers that wants to load a game up and put every possible option in the menu to the max and when I cannot achieve this, then I look for set ups that will allow it. I guess it just bugs me that if I can't do this that I feel that I am not playing the game at it's ultimate IQ at my resolution, so I eathier try to OC a bit more or look at new hardware (Hi Titan!. Now for those that are going to say that all the reports are saying a Titan is slightly below a 690 so why would I go with a Titan??? Well, I am looking at 2 Titan's in SLI, so that is what I am gunning for.
I know very well that someone will say it is a waste of money or that I am insane or whatever and I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion. For me, I aim to maximize my games and will buy what I need to achieve this. To me it is just money and when I die it aint going to go with me, so I would rather buy what I want to buy and enjoy it for what it is. I work hard, I earn a great living, I plan to get married early next year and my Girlfriend likes that this is my hobby along with console gaming and home theatre versus being a heavy drinker, drug addict, drinking with the boys and getting into potential trouble.
But it is amusing how others ridicule how people spend their money. I guess I can understand if they know the person and the person is forgoing making the morgage payment or skipping a car payment to buy a new toy, but sometimes some of these guys go overboard. I love the "if you buy a Titan, you are a idiot" or "Buying a Titan is for people that want to show how big their E-peen is". lol

So is this launching tomorrow or next week? ARGH. I F5 every morning. Sob.
Tomorrow, that's when the review NDA ends and it should go on sale - According to every source I've read so far.
Maybe that will be the day that Samsung finally starts selling their RAM again.I'm more concerned on being able to get 2 of these on release. Hopefully the RAM will go back on sale within the next week or 2 since I'll have to wait on the waterblocks from EKWB to go on sale... and I have to sleeve all my cables.

Well, not Tom's Hardware (link in previous page)...they're a pretty big player. Not sure why they'd have contrary info. I'll be there manana hitting up the shops...but still...

Neither was the 680 - it was gone in an hour.
Actually, it was gone in about 4 minutes.![]()
Are you thinking of the 690? I was able to snag multiple 680s in the U.S. online within the hour...
So the PS4 will have 8 GB of GDDR5.
Where is your god now, PC gamers?

Sorry for being an idiot but I have a tri-monitor 1080p 120mhz monitor setup and sli gtx590 classifieds in my current rig.
Would I benefit from a Titan or a 690?
I've been over the thread a bunch and been visiting the normal sites but I'm dumb and cant figure this one out. Any help would be much appreciated.

The GeForce GTX TITAN GPU will be available starting on February 25, 2013 from NVIDIA's add-in card partners, including ASUS and EVGA in North America, and additional partners, including Colorful, Galaxy, Gigabyte, INNO 3D, MSI, Palit and Zotac outside the US. Partner participation will vary by region. Pricing is expected to start at $999 USD.

It's possible that pre-sales begin at 6am PST, but really, today is about showing performance and letting press post reviews.

Come on, dogg! Ya'll messing with folks sleep schedules.
Nabbed from Tempered81 at anandtech forums:
Here it is at 1.2ghz and it's air cooled:

It seems worth the price, but we don't know anything about partner versions yet. Cooling-wise, "vanilla" seems to be good enough, but who knows? I'm looking forward to seeing what ASUS will come up with.
Ordering blocks now should I get black and nickel or clear and nickel?
Also, calling it stock is so underplaying things... It's high-tech, precision engineering designed specifically for the Titan.
Is it worth upgrading to this or a 690 when I have an i5 2500k?
Clear and nickel, if you ask me.Ordering blocks now should I get black and nickel or clear and nickel?
True, the 690 didn't.Question is, WILL they make custom coolers? Did the 690 ever receive one anywhere?
I'd say black, goes with everything.
Indeed, the difference in quality is huge, I just worry about noise.IMO, the stock cooler is fantastic if you only want to air cool.
