Who said it was a surprise? And who said people are going to remember some good lines during this conference? You seem like you're looking for things to be outraged at. There is plenty to be upset about, but your focus seems off on where that outrage should be directed. Obama isn't the one who fucked us.

The question is if Trump turns heel on Russia and gets aggressive with them will the left start calling him a war monger? What do Dems actually want done with Russia exactly? Or was this more about removing Trump than punishing Russia?

Do you even know what Identity Politics refers to? It's completely centered on the fact that you had Trump running on the fact that he was TREMEMDOUS TRUMP and Hillary running on the fact that she was FIRST FEMALE PRES CLINTON.

The amount of people here that want to see Obama imprison or act against Donald Trump in some way is absolutely insane and scary.

Do you not see how dangerous that is? The President enacting policy to stop the new President from entering office? It's tantamount to destroying the nature of our government and would remove any semblance of democracy. Obama is taking the right approach. Anything that happens should be done by the law enforcement agencies, not the White House.
 
The phrase "Identity politics" is a way for jerk-o's to say that symbolism doesn't matter in a society, which is demonstrably false.

What? Trump opened his campaign with obvious racism, and after that, it was liberally peppered with racism, sexism, and xenophobia. Trump ran on identity politics, and he won.

I'm not "looking for things to be upset about". I have plenty of reasons, many of which have to do with the political party who unfortunately represents the majority of my interests being weak and ineffective in the face of Republican opposition and Russian espionage. Not to mention my job and potentially my life being in (greater) danger after the lord of Orange takes office in a month. I really don't give a fuck where you think my "outrage" should be directed.

He basically gave her that high ranking officials are tied to it.

High ranking officials would never act without Putin's consent, therefore he ordered it.

Trump knows how to play the media like a fiddle. They comply because for the most part outlets only care about ratings and clicks. For them, the more outlandish the statement or act by Trump, the better for them. So they don't mind. Damn the country, they want clicks.

While I agree, we also wouldn't have got him saying "not much happens in Russia that Putin doesn't authorise" which was great.

Catching up to the pages I missed. Why are some of you acting like Obama's presidency is a wash now? Lowered the unemployment rate, 20+ million now have insurance, pulled troops out of foreign countries, and the wage is slowly going up, but nah....its a wash now.
