Availability and price

We can also confirm that this physical version will be distributed throughout Europe and North America. The global release is scheduled for October 13, 2025.

But what particularly caught our attention was the price. These physical versions will be available at a significantly lower price than the digital versions available on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store. Here is a comparison:
Game version Europe United Kingdom United States
Physical: Oblivion Remastered – Deluxe Edition €44.99 £39.99 $39.99
Digital: Oblivion Remastered – Deluxe Edition €64.99 £59.99 $59.99

Pre-order start date

According to our information, physical versions of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X will be available for pre-order starting September 29, 2025 in France and Europe.

did they even fix the fucking memory leak on the ps5?

And of course these fucking clowns won't fix anything at all. Damn, I hate this company.

I would have been tempted to get PS5 version just for collection but since performance on PC is still shit and likely won't be fixed, there is no point.

Throw in more difficulty settings (its either too easy or too hard compared to original, luckily on pc I was able to mod).

And release on Switch 2 and i will buy again. This game would be perfect for switch 2.

Apparently is a code in a box deal:

I'm fairly sure it's not a code in the box (at least the European and American physical version for PS5 won't be). Maybe the Asian version is just a code in a box, but PlayAsia has messed up in the past since they love using placeholders for pre-orders.

They got me good on this one. Game runs great in the first area then goes to shit as you get outside, just after the refund window. Cunts.
It's the last Bethesda game I ever buy at launch. They got me the first time with Starfield, but screwing up one of my most favourite RPGs of all time was the last straw for me. ESVI can kick rocks until I've seen it running well and more to the point, is a game that is actually fun.

Not if you optimize it. I have this horse mod that lets me go ~30 mph and it still runs at a solid 60 with all that traversal.
Nothing I tried on any of my systems gets rid of the frankly awful traversal stutter. Gone are the days of me spending days on end trying to fix games for myself. Plenty of other games to play in my limited time, like KCD2. That game ran like Usain Bolt in his prime.

Glad you found something that works for you though, the game looks really nice at times.

He didn't. Every tech YouTuber and journalist out there with any credibility whatsoever said this game wasn't remotely fixable, and that all of those "optimization" mods are just snake oil. A lot of people just claim they optimize stuff after downloading one of those nonsense mods, and placebo's a mother fucker. The game isn't remotely fixable, the stutter is essentially a feature at this point.

I still enjoy it, but let's be real about it here.

Just trying not to be rude. Game is a shit show.

One of the disapointments of the year for me. Zero reason why they released this in the state they did and what 5 months later? they have hardly touched it.

Like Lucifers Beard Lucifers Beard says, last time they get cash out of me at launch. My own fault really.

It usually consists of me going to the nexus (which I would do anyways to look for quality of life mods) to acquire a good Engine.ini preset and me running the character from one end of the map to the other on the fastest form of vehicle available as I play around with settings starting at medium and some default post-processing options set to off. Takes maybe 20 minutes and I never touch the settings again.

Nothing placebo about some of them. I just get a bunch excluding the universal garbage and run them briefly. For Oblivion Remastered this engine.ini makes a noticeable difference:

P.S. DLSS is garbage when used in conjunction with UE5 and that is likely why most people end up going full retard with respect to the engine. They payed more for NVIDIA so everything has to work better for them or something.

Will anyone tell me WHY A HUMAN would want a code in a box?

Why at that point would you just not get the digital version? Who wants to clutter your shelf up with empty plastic? If it has a disc, I get it, but why companies WASTE the time and money on a box just to omit the disc is insane to me.

I'd like to see a video of you having this run perfectly because you've achieved something nobody else has.

But if got it running acceptable to you that's all that matters in the end.

I still didn't realize people were having so many issues with the game on PC and console. I completed the main quest on PC and never noticed any bizarre issues outside of crashes that wouldn't occur too often at all. With 50+ hours I think I crashed 4-5 times? But other than that, FPS didn't dip hard, there were no stutters, etc. Only other annoyance was my GPU sounding like a jet from time to time, but that's just poorly optimized UE5 shit, lol.

I am convinced they are PC illiterate with the issues they have consistently popping up that few others can corroborate.

Just took a look at the first couple of pages of the Steam forum and 80% of the posts are moaning about performance and lack of updates.

Maybe your right and you fixed it, but like I said I have better things to do with my time these days than battle with developers trash performance on PC's

Most Steam users are PC illiterate and things that do not work out of the box trigger them. They expect the game to magically configure itself to their hardware and run flawlessly. 🤣

Anyone you know who isn't illiterate apart from yourself? :messenger_grinning_sweat:
I am just applying presets or using included sliders most of the time so the individuals that tweak those are far more savvy. It is not like I aim to spend my time getting every last drop of performance out of my PC. It just takes a bit of online research to find most solutions. Anyone that has played on a PC 20 years ago should be up the task.

Patch was trash, they layed off staff shortly after release, the game wont all be on disc (if there even is one) and bethesda still harbors devs that celebrate/trivialize murder.
Easiest pass ever.
