Wow ... just noticed the entire CeNation family in the front row ... >_<

I bet they will take the whole camera to a store, and print out every fucking photo they took. All of them. The one with thumbs in the way, the ones where they cannot see anything, every fucking thing.

TNA iMPACT! scored a 1.20 (1.2) cable rating, up from last week's 1.01. The first hour did a 1.23 and then dropped to a 1.16; the highest quarter hour was the Foley/Flair segment.

For once the highest rated segment was the best part of the show.

I went back to the Jericho DVD and I must say: Everyone go buy this DVD now. It's sooooooo good!

I nearly died laughing just from seeing a Jericho promo from Stampede Wrestling. It was so funny sounding. Then they followed that up with Jericho pictures as a heartrob from Mexican magazines. Only reaction I had to that was ... :lol WTF! DOOD LOOKS LIKE A LADY!

I'll get it when it's on sale for $5 after Jericho shows up in TNA

What a fucking atrocity of a premiere, was it just me or was Punk not featured in the opening of the show at all? Also fucking props at pushing RAW over Smackdown on it's new network given how much people clearly love RAW right now.

Can they please move Smackdown back to MNTV?

Nobody may have watched it, but the show actually used to good.
It was live two days before the ppv, so of course they used it to hype the show. Sure things will return to normal next week.

That was a really disappointing Smackdown, but are we really surprised anymore?

- Undertaker/Punk wrestle ANOTHER waste of a match where Punk obviously never stood a chance.
- Randy Orton pretty much squashes the Tag Team Champions
- Swagger/Edge have a completely pointless promo
- The Nexus gets the tables turned on them in a Lumberjack match...AGAIN
- Taker/Kane waste everyone's time at the end
- Nexus interrupt ANOTHER mid card IC Champion match

The only wrothwhile parts to the show were Del Rio's chihuahua promo, and the little bit of MVP/Ziggler we got to see.

I just like how they're using Punk, a 3 times recent world champion, the man who's the most impressive in the ring, on the mic and on commentary in the company purely as a vessel to show how badly Taker can squash guys depending on how under the weather he's feeling.

The lack of Kofi and Kaval is stupid as well given they're 2 of the most talented in ring performers in the show. Fuck, Kaval's essentially a money in the bank/royal rumble winner for Christs sake.

Also I think people are being too lenient with them saying they're hyping the show before the PPV. Which Smackdown talents appeared on the RAW before the PPV for example? What relevance does Edge's segment add? How does Orton going over an upcoming talent just so he can be attacked by Sheamus make their feud any more intense?

I mean you'd imagine they'd see them putting over the talent that would be actually appearing on the show to try and get as many new/returning long term views. Instead the present an boring show with little wrestling at all that could only possibly appeal to the current mainstream WWE RAW viewers which are already dwindling in numbers.

Kaval/Punk storyline incoming

the main event card is stuck while Kane/Taker lick each other...the upper mid-card is just waiting for that title to change hands

You're all beginning to realize that WWE doesn't give a shit about actual "talent."

Vince would rather have a coked up, enhance drug'd walking steroid over a well rounded great wrestler.

I had to DVR it and just got finished watching it.

I can't believe they're gonna shit up Smackdown with the current RAW suckage.

Please tell me this isn't going to be a weekly thing and it was one night only.

Alberto Del Rio is getting pushed...so your point is null.

Gotta have someone for the Mexican audience since Rey is going to retire. Let's see how far he gets before he gets his wings clipped and the rug pulled from underneath him. By the time WWE finally gets around to pushing some of these guys they will be so devalued noone will take them seriously in a main event role.

Why is he a jobber? He's awshum.

Probably because his name is Zack Ryder? That is a jobber name honestly. I think WWE brings some of these guys in with the intent on having them fail or be jobbers.

Why does he keep palming his head?

All right, time machine back to discussing what was being said on the original GAF in 2002.

Bu-bu-but wellness policy!

Who?

...

BoboBrazil took the words right out of my mouth. Just watch, it'll be inevitable that Latino DiBiase will get used the wrong way later on and the internet folk will get angsty about it. Then he'll job to other, "bigger" stars. Or, he'll be the "next" Mysterio which they are probably grooming him to be in the future and the 'net will dislike the end result.

But that's all speculation. Though things that happened in the future point this to be true. Carlito debuted as a big deal, but look where he went -- but that can be blamed on his backstage attitude.

Same goes for Shelton, both shiity backstage and sub-par on the mic.

CM Punk somehow pisses a lot of folks off to be where he is.

Kaval's great. Low Ki. Jobbin' to the King of Jobbers Chavo Guerrerro -- who is ironically a great wrestler if you remember some of his WCW stuff.

Christian is a result of Vince not having high hopes for him if I remember.

Yet Ted DiBiase, boring in-ring and merely DECENT in ring will get pushed and even get a valet in Maryse.

Cena, who of course cannot wrestle other than a select few moves, is at the top of the totem pole.

There's a lot of unused talent on the roster that can actually do things, but they use the same talent over and over again. Talent that we on GAF/net love to watch never will get the exposure they deserve because ultimately it is all in the hands of Vinnie Mac and his team of stooges.

Better hope Latino DiBiase does not slip. He was handed a good opportunity and with the large number of spanish language speakers that have watched Smackdown due to Rey, he has a great opportunity to do great things.

Otherwise, you can add that to any lists of things people will complain about.

Edit: I wasn't around in 2002, Liu. But ehh. I guess I can see what you mean? Lol.

Plywood don't let the wellness policy fool you, Vince loves his strong super saiyan like men ... which sounds weird out of context.

I don't know, I mean, I know Vince wants buff dudes and all, but can you tell me anyone who's recently looked extra muscular/big who hasn't gotten in trouble? I remember Rey ended up getting in trouble awhile back.

Indeed. The DVD extras on this are fantastic. Almost done watching everything on the first disc. Those Smokey Mountain music videos for the Thrillseekers were awesome. Best of all were the Post Raw taping 2003 promo w/ Austin and the recent post SD taping Jericho vs 65 yr old guy at ringside bits. Just a fantastic DVD all around so far (and I haven't even gotten to the matches yet).

No. Most of people that got into trouble like Kennedy/Anderson, Morrison, Helms, and Rey got into trouble shortly after the Benoit Incident, and nothing has really been brought up recently...

After the incident, you don't really remember a lot of cases of steroid use. Some other issues like weed use come up, but that's pretty minor.

I think WWE eased up on the policies, honestly. There's no way Chris Masters can debut huge -- get into trouble, come back slimmer then get huge again -- then get into trouble again to return to end up returning to the size he was when he debuted and he still hasn't been fired. Then again he's pretty much with Chavo at the bottom of the totem pole, but he is still getting a paycheck.

All the dudes at main event are huge. Even ReyRey is big even if he's chibi.

Did it feel like much of the documentary was abbreviated? Or am I just imagining that because everything in it is so awesome?

It did feel like there were many parts they could have expanded upon more, but considering they told a story of his career from childhood all the way up to the recent NXT stuff w/ Wade in a 105 minute time frame I can accept that. However, I do think they did a disservice in not talking about how, when he first won the belts, Jericho was the champ but the feud was really Steph vs HHH.

All this praise for the Jericho dvd but who's buying the John Cena EXPERIENCE!
