No one honestly believed Rey's big debut was going to be in a loss. In fact, I'm surprised they even let Del Rio do what he did last week. As long as he wins at the PPV, I'll be satisfied. As you said, good to see Kofi and Kaval being used for a change though.

Man, Kenny Omega is amazing. I read that he opted out of his WWE developmental deal. That's a damn shame, because when I was watching the match, I was thinking this guy has major star potential -- he's just a great showman in the ring. Needs to work on his promos a bit though.

I did made a post here about the show before it happened, but I assume it just got buried in the thread last month so you didn't see it. Sorry to hear that you missed it. IIRC that was also supposed to be the first Mickie James vs Amazing Kong match, but Kong pulled out due to her injury (or something along those lines).

Hopefully the show gets put on DVD quickly or the match pops up on youtube soon.

Daaaaamn! That version is pretty sick. I love this guy even more knowing he's wrestled for my new favorite promotion DDT.

Yeah -- like Kaval, he's just really intense in the ring, and really moves his body around it well (almost flailing in some instances). My favorite moment in the match you posted was when Devitt was running at him and he yells "STOP!" and then immediately kicks him in the head. I seriously LOL'd for that. He's definitely got tons of personality. It's guys like him that make me realize how sad it is that people like Michael McGullicutty are employed by the WWE.

Supposedly Omega just didn't get along with the WWE trainers or management so he opted out. I think he vastly prefers wrestling in the indies anyways, and he can always get a ton of work in Japan. I think he could've been really popular in the WWE, he has an exciting and kinetic in0ring style that would make him an entertaining face.
