STAMFORD, Conn. – The right for World Wrestling Entertainment fans to vote was threatened Friday by Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz, who gave the authority to local poll workers to determine that if anyone shows up to the polls on November 2 wearing any WWE merchandise, whether it is a John Cena T-shirt or a Randy Orton wristband, they may be forced to go home and change, cover it up, or take it off in order to vote.

“Denying our fans the right to vote, denying them their First Amendment rights, regardless if they are Democrat, Republican or Independent, is un-American, unconstitutional and blatantly discriminatory,” said Vince McMahon, Chairman and CEO of WWE.

Ventura was an active wrestler for some time. Heenan was as well, but he was also a world class manager. Heyman had the same deal. And we all know about Mr. McMahon.

Yeah, I just take it as a small gesture. Like I said, it's got as much importance and reliability as other silly rankings. I'm basing the Ventura selection on his commentating days, which is fine in itself, because he is one of the best ones. Monsoon was also a wrestler prior to getting in the booth, and he, along with Ventura, are the best combo I think we'll ever listen to.

They DID spotlight Taker, but I didn't see any other wrestlers.

Still stupid. A Randy Orton shirt isn't as cliche as an Obama shirt. People of various political views watch and wear WWE merchandise everyday, you can't determine how they are going to vote based off that.

That's tough. The law is the law. As long as Linda is associated with WWE, so WWE merchandise would be seen as an advertisement for her.
 
If Linda loses could she spend the next two years forcing her message down the throat of the WWE audience as she thinks she would do better next time with their "support"

Indeed. Not being able to wear a certain shirt one day every couple of years is a damn good reason to give up on politics and the one chance you get to influence the government of your country.

Indeed. And this is only for early voting. I don't think there's anything they can do to them on the actual election day. But it all depends on the city codes.

Odd, considering Austin, The Rock and JR seem to be on good terms with Lesnar.

I can't imagine a worse match. A broken down big man vs. a guy with so much ring rust and a pressing need to return to the top of his MMA game.

Well actually, yes I can. Bret vs. Vince still gives me nightmares.
 
Lesnar.

All that's happened is the dirt sheets jumped on an extremely short exchange and - as they do to drive up views - blown it out of proportion.
 
The goal is to get out of the WWE, not to come crawling back. Only the ones with nothing else going on do that. Lesnar ain't coming back.

Lesner vs Goldberg.

Both guys could not care. Both did the match for the money. Fans turned on the seconds into the match. The whole thing was so bad WWE edited the crowd for the DVD release... Bret vs Vince was glorious compared to that
 
Word going around backstage this morning is that Brock Lesnar was never truly open to returning to the squared circle. However, personally after witnessing Undertaker's weakened state, Lesnar is eager to return believing he has a legitimate shot at ending the streak.
