Yep, especially since UE4 may include support already, and multiple devkits have already been shipped to the anonymous early developers (the original unboxing, and then the recent Facebook program).

If the box is a "pretty paperweight", what good did it do to ship units to the Facebook development program? :P

Already said so last week but, even if it was completly useless without the new SDK it still doesn't make sence to wait for a software everyone will be able to download 5 seconds after it got uploaded. To ship an hardware which will take between a couple days to maybe a couple week in some international shipping.

At best it's a 'PR' move to avoid complains from developpers about a bad sdk even if they had warned them about a new sdk close to be released for the dk2.

Waiting for the software to be ready really seems silly, especially because us international buyers will no doubt get the software way before the hardware arrives on our doorstep.

Oh well, what's another few weeks...
 
Having ordered after 1pm on march 19th... it's gonna be a long time before I get my order lol.
Damn, I was actually there soon after orders first went live but I decided to wait and consider it for a few hours before ordering :/

same here :( except i ordered it at 10am pst, i really hope i'm in first batch but i am unsure of this
 
We ordered two kits shortly after they announced the July 14th shipping date.

It will be nice to play with them next year when they finally arrive.

If you ordered via Paypal be sure to check your order status at oculusvr.com/sales and not just wait around for an e-mail. Seems like none of us are getting e-mails but some of our orders are switching to READY.
 
I ordered 8.39 am day it went live so fingers crossed im in first UK batch. Havnt seen anyone in UK say they got email yet.
 
Still pending, ordered at 9:06AM on the first day. Though they could just be still going through and processing orders...right? *in another batch

Also, the email only goes out to people who paid with credit card to inform them we are charging their card. If you paid in full with PayPal, you would not receive the email. However, in any case, you will receive an email with a tracking number as soon as the package ships. Hope that helps.

Check the Oculus' order website to check your order status, especially if you paid with PayPal. I paid with PayPal, didn't receive an email but my order status is updated on their site.
 
Received it too, soooo psyched!

EDIT: urgh, "We've successfully processed the payment and information for your order. It will be shipped as soon as the items are available in stock.", ordered at 8:26 AM

That's what you're supposed to get if you made it. They're probably shipping in the morning.

Fuck me, though. I guess I was unrealistically optimistic about my 3:52 PM order with all the expected cancellations after the Facebook buy and scalper/China issues.

Anyone in South Florida order before me?
