I got it!!!
Picked mine up this morning. I went right into trying some demos:
VR Desk (the one included): Just a desk to look around
Ocean Rift: Diving 'simulation'
Tuscany: House with garden in tuscany
Warscape: Arcade tank game
Alone in the rift: Horror/dark game demo
Polyworld: low poly open world level
Helix: VR roller coaster
The setup was no Problem. I installed SDK and the runtime. I had to change the screen orientation in Windows to portrait mode and I was good to go.
I started with the
VR Desk and motion tracking worked perfectly even though the camera is set up above and behind my computer screen. Demo is very compfortable and good for getting a feeling for VR but not much to do.
Next I tried
Ocean Rift and was not dissapointed. Also very easy on my stomache and a good show off. Interestingly I noticed the screendoor the least in this demo.
Tuscany did not run in direct mode somehow and was locked to 60 fps with heavy stuttering when head motion was involved. Standing still it looked great but motion was unbearable.
Next I got over ambitious and went into
Helix. I took one round and felt funky. I thought I could take another one but had to quit feeling REALLY sick

I think I have to take it more slowly.....
After a short break I went in to
Polyworld. This one I think is another great show off demo. It felt very compfortable and was nice to walk around in.
Alone in the rift was not bad bu it somehow screwed with my left eye making it a bit disturbing. Most annoyingly though was the light coming through the rubber foam of the rift. As the game is really dark it was very distracting. I need to cover it somehow.
Last but definetly not least
Warscape: Actually a real game

It a arcade tank shooter that works perfectly! Don't expect Arma 3 grafics but it is fun to play. But be careful with quick mouse movents of the turret. It caused some nausea.
Overall I am very pleased with the DK2 so far. I had tried but not owned the DK1 and this is a big step forward. Biggest drawback for me right now are the chromatic abberations. They seem to be there because I am not centered with the lenses. Vertical abberations can be minimized by shifting the headset lower into a slighty annoying position. The horizontal ones I cannot change due to my IPD of 59.5. I hope for better software correction but since they are so position dependend I think its always going to stay a prolem with DK2.
I am looking forward to experimenting in UE4 with tis thing as soon as they get proper support for it.
