Sensors inside the ring is what it appears.
It just seems like they won't be ready in time for launch.
But...how is it going to work? Luckey specifically mentioned waving, but to wave you would have to let go of the thing.

I imagine you could wave with three fingers (the ring and little finger still holding the controller.
Is this confirmed information? It's a shame they couldn't get this ready to be packaged with CV1.
Is this confirmed information?
I'd find it really strange if they'd pack in the Xbox controller AND the Touch controllers. What could be the added benefit of packing in both? The ability to play classic non VR games that people can already play with KB/M or their own controller? Is this confirmed information?

I think they will ship at the same time, but sold separately.
What do you mean 6 less buttons?
I believe HTC and Valve will slim down their wand to something similar.
Looks great but how would you fap with it.
Not bundled is a terrible decision.
Rift releases Q1 2016, Touch release is H1 2016. They obviously had to have some kind of controller bundled for Rift's initial release. So they bundled XB1 controllers over this? Why?

Because Microsoft.
I really hope they come back and bundle it with the Rift.

Yup, looks exactly like a nunchuck with a couple of extra bits stapled on to it. Should be pretty good in the hands of talented developers, for at least a couple of core game-types. I dread the inevitable wave of VR games/experiences with truly awful controls, though.Competely okay that they used a similar design to the nunchuck. That thing is super light and comfy to hold.
Why this thread, which contains the important novelty of the conference, have only 2 pages, and the one with that nice little optional feature (streaming xbox to a virtual cinema) is 10 pages long?

Its a slightly different Move controller. Ball turned into a ring. There is nothing exiting about it.

And if can tell where your fingers are when pointing and such.
they look great
anyone complaining about "too few buttons" need to remember all the actions you can do with these that usually requires buttons, that can be made so much more intuitive just by hand positioning and finger gestures [...]
this is cool

I warned Sony in 2010 god damn it.

They screwed big time with cost reduction measures for the move. Very stupid decision. (Their reasoning was something like "you wouldn't be able to use the analog when flailing your arms anyway.".. So not true.. Like rumble was last gen..)
i wonder what happened to the Nimble team that Oculus bought.
