Agreed, i'm a new GAFer, but i thought several threads on the same subject was not an option here. Dax01 made a complete thread about Bungie day and the collectors editions, but people still pull out clone-thread like nothing.

I expected more solidarity from DestinyGAF.

The official policy of NeoGAF is "new thread for new news". I think mods don't like megathreads too much.

Oh well... but like you said, this leads to situations where we got a shitload of threads about (more or less) the same subject. In this particular case, i think Dax01's thread was enough.

Preparing for the Beta - Getting a Gameplan

It's looking like Control will be the name of the game.
Control plays a lot like Domination on COD. Thing is, your kills get multipliers based on the amount of zones you hold.
If you keep 2 for the entirety of the game, you have the potential to keep a cozy lead. If the enemy team is dominating you in terms of K/D, They still have the opportunity to keep pace.
If you hold 3, each kill you get means they have to work 3 times as hard to keep pace.

1. Identify routes that accommodate your playstyle.
As seen in some of the IGN videos, there are little corners or places that give advantages. Close Quarters areas, places that cater to your guardians jump abilities, etc.
2. Hold the Crates
In the Alpha, Heavy Ammo crates spawned every 3 or so minutes. Special ammo has had a timer increase, so these will become points of interest throughout the match. Keep the shotty, sniper, and fusion ammo out of your enemies hands for a good time.
3. Communicate Enemy Presence
There will be Dynamic Spawning in this game. If you're utterly crowding the one zone that is held by the enemy, they will spawn at one of the two other zones. Even if you're losing, you can obtain Specials. Do not crowd each other, as nearly all specials have an 'area of effect' that will kill your entire team if you're all sitting in the same spot. Have a lookout, have someone off to the side covering entry ways. While the zone capture will take longer, it is in your best interest. You don't want to have all 3 of a squad die and not attain the zone as opposed to getting the zone and only losing 1 team mate.
4. Vehicles
Vehicles HAVE NOT been confirmed yet, but based on the alpha - they are indeed power weapons. You can control the flow of the map. Force them inside.
You Want An Interceptor At All Times.
Watch out for turrets, they will destroy you.

Still debating wether to preorder digitally from the US store but I'm too scared to run into issues on day one because my EU account is my main account which has PS+...

Same for me. I've bought Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on the US Store and I've had no issues with it, but I'd like to know if the US version of Destiny will let me play on EU servers and will let me use my EU subscription to PS+.

By the way, while digital preorders on the EU stores are easily cancellable till release day, it seems that US preorders cannot.

I might prefer Rusted Lands at night. It still has a bit of a purpelish haze to it, but I like its palette otherwise. It's rust though, it's supposed to be kinda ugly...

Yea I switched to shotgun towards the end of the Alpha, but I think I'll learn to quick scope with the sniper instead. There are really important sightlines on the map that I don't want to ignore.
 
Hey I was wondering if anyone had a beta key spare?

I called up sony to cancel my preorder so that I can preorder the guardian edition and wound up getting my account locked!

I've sent them ID so it's getting sorted out but now i'm worried that i'm in Limbo and that i'm going to miss out!

Can anyone help?

They aren't usually a OHK and they need to recharge, so I wouldn't say so. You can "super melee" with the Golden Gun though, so there's that.

Yeah I went to the Sony E3 event in theaters and received a beta code.

I was already hyped and the alpha was everything I had hoped for and more. It's made my backlog a joke. All I can think about is Destiny.

Lucky duck. I have a few other games on my radar but this is definitely at the top. It looks really solid.
