Official Fable II Thread

How do I turn on the ability to interact with XBL orbs. I was able to see peoples stats and invite, gift items etc... Now I can see everyone but can't interact. Any suggestions?

Options -> Game

Just beat the game and it was pretty good.

I really hope we see a Fable 3 that builds upon all the things established here. First and foremost I'd like to see more items and difficulty. I find the combat in this game to be addicting but there was never a challenge. I didn't receive a single knockdown/scar in my entire playthrough, and by the end I was basically a god who could take out any number of guys with one lighting AoE attack, and my life sucking sword basically made me invincible.

You get as much or as little out of this game as you want. Obviously, because you only rented it and didn't play it to its full potential, you got the least out of the game possible.

Congratulations.

I just finished the game.

I MISS MY DOG! HOW DO I GET HIM BACK! I know the right thing to do was to Sacrifice but man I miss my dog, their has to be a way to get him back. Is their?

All I get in options is options to display everyone or friends. How come it won't let me press A on anyone anymore? I am no longer able to see stats gift items invite people or anything else the interact option does.

Why didnt I do the quest for Giles in Brightwood? when I return to his farm, it wsa run down and full of hollowmen. Then there was his grave :( at least I got the enforcer

A few things, a week at the Inn did bring my dog back. Thank you!!
Complaints about the game not looking good I don't understand. One of the best looking games I've played. Not near the best but a great feel to the world graphicaly.
What ever happened to that thing Lionhead was doing where people sent in pictures to try and get in the game? Like it would be shown as a framed picture on a wall. Did anything come of that?

Friend told me his save just got messed up. He was helping someone else, came back to his save to show his guy off, and all his stats are gone. Character is the same, place in the story is the same, but all abilities and stats are reset. WTF.

You're using the Left Trigger to focus on people, right?

Also :lol overreaction jackson.
Yeah, I was going back to have sex with her, too. Needy bitch. I didn't even realize the beetles were at THAT HOUSE. Then as I'm entering a message pops up says because my wife died child protection took away my custody.

I was like goddamnit why! ]=

Of course I didn't really like her anyway and I'm trying to play a good guy. So it was convenient. O:

Does your body change entirely if you use the sex change potion? Say, will you have boobs if you change from a woman to a man? I'm kind of tempted to turn my dude into a girl but not if she's going to look all manly.

It's a complete change.

Females still look kinda manly though if your character has pumped physique.

:lol !

Ha, so you can have orgies.
Damn this game! hahaha.

One of the girls shouts out "Are you sure this isnt a sin?!" and then you get an achievement for it :lol :lol

I did it with 3 women and 2 men. :lol :lol :lol

You need to make them happy, then get them to follow you, then just hit A on a bed and have sex.

There's a ton of whores in that dock region, I don't remember the name.

What's the GAF consensus about Fable 2 in Pros and Cons?

My wife is officially interested in this NEW! game, which means the rare opportunity has presented itself wherein I can feel it's okay to spend the money on one!

wtf, ive only had unprotected sex once (with my wife!) and I have 2 STDs!

No prostitutes either. My wife must have really gotten around before I got there. Oh well, shes a bit raunchy... not a bad thing. She hasnt cheated on me, so I'll keep her around.

I mean, I did just sleep with 2 unchaste women at the same time... but I bagged it. Oh well, they are 100% anyway.

Well... if it helps (and I know this is seriously generalising) I'd say the game is definitely "wife" material. My girlfriend loves it, and she's pretty picky about the games she gets into.

PRO: it's funny, combat is enjoyable

Pros: My wife absolutely loves it.
Cons: My wife absolutely loves it.

Well, it's basically 50% The Sims, so women will love it.

Have her watch the Gametrailers.com review. It's spot on IMO.

I didn't realize it until my girlfriend pointed it out, but my character is totally I-No from Guilty Gear. So I went all the way and dyed her clothes the appropriate colors.

The trick to not being a muscle bound freak by end game?

Don't put any points into physique, dummy. For your health!

This :lol The girlfriend loves it, which means we're having to take turns playing on the Bravia. As you can tell from my picture, today is my turn in standard def :(

I like, like one poster said eariler it has an "Zelda" feel to it. I was expecting the lil jingle to play every time I opened a chest:lol

I was actually quite disappointed there wasn't an kind of jingle. Seemed odd to go to all of the trouble to have a slow-mo camera move around the chest if it doesn't give me some kind of visual or audible award as well. Felt unfinished.

I had a kid with one of the prostitutes there, but she didn't stay in the house like the other wives. I went on a massacre and accidentally shot her and lost my kid. :lol

Also you dont HAVE to max out all stats if you dont want to. Sure you might want to put at least 1 level up in physique, but its not like you have to max it out.

Just had a quest to save my son from the hobbes cave, then i remeber about the earlier quest with the man an his son.............................

Can you craete your own characters in co-op split screen and do you both get dogs?
No and no. Co-op is not all that great. Neither player can control the camera, except for the one that snaps to behind, which sucks for the other person when you do it. It would be fine if there was constant combat Diablo 2 style, but there rarely is. I use it to help out my wife when there is heavy combat, but I jump straight back out again when the dungeon or whatever is complete.

It's not actually split screen, just both characters on the same screen. It's basically the same as single player (your hero) with a generic secondary character (half a dozen odd to choose from) added in.

So whoever the second character is can't really do much. All of the exp and money you earn as a henchman can be transfered over to your main hero.

Not really a fully fledged co-op mode, but it's reasonably fun. Only 1 dog.

Both my GF and I picked up a copy and both just beat the game (well, I did yesterday and have been saving castle money) and we both really liked it.
We have been playing all day when we should both be painting walls (we have a new unfurnished half-painted house because of Fable 2) :D .

Only complaints are that it wasn't long enough (I already own nearly every property without using any cheat or exploit) and the last part of the story wasn't as strong as the first two-thirds.

I'm looking forward to NPD numbers, I had about 14 friends online playing Fable 2 at the same time yesterday.

Anywho, I'm off to paint while the GF starts a new character... :/

I have a Katana that does 91 damage and does lightning damage on top of that, I got it from
Acherons Knot, which you can find if you look around the Brightwood Tower.

Trying to find it. Where & how exactly you found that?

hmmmm
That's pretty damn lame then. I was going to buy this so that my friend and I could play through it. I was considering because theres no percievable release date for the PC version, if that even happens.

Buy it anyway. Just not for the co-op.

It's pretty disapointing that the co-op panned out the way it did, but it's still fun enough to play through with someone else.

My first bounty hunter mission was to kill a bunch of beetles at the house where my wife lived.

I ran to said house and as I was entering the door she died and they took my kid away.

;___;

You're doing it wrong.
I was doing a bounty hunter mission where criminals are attacking Bowerstone...one killed my wife and so they took my kid. Had the produce shop salesperson die too so no one's there...sucks. :(

My other wife is somehow missing and my kid was stuck looking at the wall in our place. :lol

Just finished the game

Chose love as my ending. Figured I owed the dog one. I liked the ending, and the whole sequence. Going back to childhood to get the music box was a nice touch, I think. I also like how Theresa's motives are unknown at the end when she comandeers the spire. I was pretty upset that Oakvale was destroyed as that was my favorite town in the first Fable, but I hope that some DLC resolves some loose ends and brings Oakvale back

Easily my game of the generation so far.
