Skiming through this old thread and It's fun to read about all the crowds standing in line to pick up a copy of the game.
Lots of reports of broken Xbox 360's.
Buggy game lot's of bug reports and exploits.
Also seeing game complaints that still echo today like poor map option and NPC's all looking alike.

Sure. For one, Im all about pet buddies in games that join you for the ride. With this, I just found the game overall to be a completely forgettable experience and way too similar to the first aside from the addition of guns and the pup. The guns were pretty cool though from what I remember.
Have you played the remake of Fable 1? That is also BC and available on the XB store.

I mean i liked fable 1 a lot so if it is more of that with guns, a doggo and fucking ragdoll when enemy dies i'm all set.

I dont remember enemies ragdolling (if they do fuckin A) but yeah the guns were fun. Poppin dudes and watching those glowy green XP balls explode out of them
Also be on the lookout for a rubber ball so you can play catch with doggo. He'll also sniff out and dig up stuff for you. Badass buddy companion.

Yes they ragdoll when you kill em, no more 32bit era precanned death animations.

For years, I thought I had played Fable 2 on PC. I recently found out that it was an Xbox exclusive I guess I played Fable 1 too much.
I guess I played Fable 1 too much.

Mostly, yeah. If I remember correctly, they removed having armor because of the time period in Fable II is slightly different (Fable 1 was more medieval while Fable 2 is set several hundred years later and has more reneissance setting). I believe they also replaced aging with time skips and removed mini-map and replaced it with a golden trail showing you a path towards your destination

Yeah unfortunately the dream of playing f2 died yesterday when i tried to connect my old xone but i don't get any img, it's like my tv doesn't even recognise the console...strange because it turn on and all but no signal.

So i played like 6+ hours and...does the game ever become less stupidly fucking easy or i can just give up now?
I know the fables are easy, but anniversary on pc make me chose a new difficulty level where you can actually die sometimes but here i still have to be hit once i think let alone die...
Also, except for the larger areas and better combat, fable 1 seems superior in everything for now.
