Sooo, is there any way to take back an engagement ring/proposal?

See, I was trying to get this monk to give me a gift the game said he had. But in the process I accidentally offered him a ring. Turns out he's bisexual. Anyway, I have no intention of marrying the guy, and I'm a little tired of having him follow me around with a ring over his head.

...I'm going to have to kill him, aren't I?

:lol

Fable 2's first hate crime.

He thinks Oblivion is good? Yeah, that disqualifies his opinion completly. Nothing about that game was remotely epic.

Now she lives in Oakfield and when I come home to satisfy her seemingly insatiable desire for sex (seriously, the only thing she ever gets needy for is "wants sex" under the marriage status page) I see her wandering around town or hanging out at the Sandgoose. It's awesome.

so, my wife is doing the whole "wants sex" thing too in the status page, but when i come back home, she just stands around like a moron, and when i head to the bed and make her follow it just gives me the option to sleep. how in hell do you hit that again?

Give her a gift and then give her a thumbs up when she asks.

God speed Nick.

My Fable II Video Review... *100% Spoiler Free*

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xP8fH3Iq6AI&fmt=18

Hope you guys all enjoy...
I enjoyed the review. I've done a good job of keeping the hype level down, so I'm hoping not to be disappointed, and I plan on mixing up the combat a lot, so hopefully that won't be a problem.

I do wish you'd gone into greater details about some things, but really, I doubt you've had enough time to really dig into everything.

Yeah, there's a TON of stuff that I didn't do, a TON. Someone asked about the economy and money system on youtube. Honestly, I did some jobs and made enough money to get some real estate. I did it so I didn't have to worry about gold when I needed to upgrade weapons and buy items. I didn't get married, open doors, etc.. I did the bare minimum. I knew I was getting sidetracked already and did my best to not stray (which was REALLY difficult to do) and just finished the game for the purpose of writing a review.

I will undoubtedly be playing this game a few more times.

To people who have played the game... how buggy is it overall? Compared with Fable 1? Mass Effect? other RPGs?

I didn't encounter any "bugs" while playing the game...

that review was bullshit. He said the game is same sort like Fable one, over hyped and linear and there are loading issues, less polished and at the end.. a 9/10...

Well, I liked Fable 1. :p Like I said though there are many flaws just like there were many flaws with the original, but at the end of the day I really enjoyed the experience. That's what it's all about. Something happens very early in the game that I just didn't see coming, at least coming so quickly... and I literally got off of my couch and yelled, "What the hell man, that's really effed up?!!!" I just haven't had that sort of reaction to a game in a long while. Emotion is something PM stressed and he definitely achieved it with me while playing this game.

I tried to point out the negatives because obviously everyone is different and some people will look at those negatives and realize that they're enough to deter them from enjoying/buying the game. If that's the case then obviously you shouldn't buy the game.

Basically, I had a lot of fun and am planning to play the game probably several more times as there are so many things I didn't do but wanted to.

What TV was that behind you? Samsung?

It's a Samsung LNT4071F. :)

Blu Ray movies with 120hz on my PS3 look AMAZING. It makes everything look like a "soap opera," it's just really stunning. Breathes new life into a lot of movies. I also have my HP Pavilion Elite connected to it as it's basically my PC monitor, nothing like it while surfing the web. I bought it for a ton back when 120hz was new tech. You could probably find it and its upgraded models for $1000-1400 nowadays.

Well I loved the 6 to 7 hours that was Fable one I am just saying that how pathetic fanboys can sound... I GIVE IT A 9/10... hahaha I am still going to get it when the NXE is out.

Another game I'm interested in, but not $60 interested in. I still haven't played Fable 1.

Like Fallout 3, I'll probably get it when it hits $30.

I would recommend getting The Lost Chapters for the PC as you'll have more options, especially graphically (although IMHO Fable I still holds up fairly well). I'm sure you could probably get it on eBay for even less than the XBox version too.

PC! Ugggg.. I'd have to mess with Parallels. I'm on a mac.

I can confirm Currys are selling it, not the collectors edition, mind. PC world aren't tho.

Time for some Fable 2-age!

cool might take a trip to my local store then. never even played Fable before but have always heard good things about it.

Ahhh, I see. Well, on XBL I think it's like $15 isn't it?

:\ Wait, are you saying I'm a fanboy? LOL, I would say I'm definitely biased though (but who isn't?), I tried my best to be objective as possible, I guess it comes out weird because I mention all the big flaws and not enough of what I enjoyed so that score ends up not reflecting the content. Criticism duly noted.

Ever since Crystalis I've been a big Action RPG and beat 'em up fan which is why I really liked the first Fable. This is the type of game where the sidequests and other sidetasks are what's going to make up the bulk of the gameplay hours accumulated and the replayability.

If someone who enjoys a long traditional RPG story, isn't into minor quests and tasks, and will just end up following the main quest, then they'll probably think the game is way too short. In that case I would definitely recommend a rental instead of putting down $60 for the game.

oh. Does anyone know the length of fallout 3?
really depends on how you're gonna play it, do all the side stuff and it will take well over 50 hours.
Fallout and Fable aren't very similar at all though so I'm not sure why they be mentioned in each others thread.

Two rpgs coming out a week a part. I am only buying one. I was just wondering. Sorry to offend you. That was a valid question. No need to make it something more than it is.

These games are similar.
1. both open world RPGS
2. many sidequests
3. action rpgs
4. close release date
5. Highly anticipated.

Save yourself some money with Fallout 3 and just get Oblivion instead. They're pratically the same product.

Just finished the game. Took just over 12 hours and I did quite a few of the sidequests.

Really? .. :/

I hope we the addition of Co-op (via patch), that it will add more replay value. And yeah, you can spend 50+ (or more) hours in the game but it's artificial. Buy house, towns (?), get married, own a business, etc. But I hoping for more... story-wise, a lengthier quest. Hell, rather a shit even a shit load of optional side-quest would be ok. Whatever, I'm mostly looking forward to co-op anyhow.

"It's just my opinion" <-- in before the arrival of the defense force.

P.S. I really enjoyed Fable, play through it multiple times :3

Save yourself the disappointment (Oblivion, ahem) and proceed with the purchase of Fallout 3. Back to thread topic plz?

Could you not say the same thing about fable 2 in comparison to fable. Just wondering? I am not trying to have some fanboy war. I asked a legitimate question.

Most open world games' main story can be finished pretty quickly, I don't find it surprising at all.

I did rush through a lot of the areas and there are still a few sidequests to do.

I would say if you just do the main quest you could finish it 10 hours. The average play through will take about 15 hours and if you do every quest it could extend up to 20 hours. There are then the other activities (The social things, jobs, demon gates, hidden items etc.). If you add in co-op and replayability the whole package is still good value.

A quick question to those who have the game, is offline co-op already included in the disc?or is it pending an update just like the online co-op?

After you finish the game can you still explore the world like Fable 1? Also, if you can, can you get achievements you may of missed?

I don't understand how people equate how good a game is, with the length. It makes no sense.

Even if the game is 16 hours, with some exploring left to do, and a second play through as "Evil" to see the other side, that's still tremendous value for your money(assume it's a great game).

If I just rushed through the story in Oblivion, the game would not be that long either. The only thing that stopped it from being a short story, was the tedious and repetitive closing of the gates.

Hopefully Fable 2 does not disappoint

I'm not joking. Everything about Fallout 3 screams of Oblivion, and lets be honest here Oblivion was pretty terrible.

Perhaps. Shamefully, I actually know more about Fallout 3 than I do about Fable 2:lol

Awesome, though I did whine and moan over the length of the original. I still really enjoyed it. And thanks, I am now really looking forward to owning this game.

I enjoyed the first Fable a lot and I really want to play this. Too bad my friend's 3fixme is dead so I have no other way of playing this excellent game :(

Yes. You can also go back and do sidequests you missed.
