There are release dates and then there are ship dates. This is a release date so you should have nothing to worry about. FYI, most games have ship dates and the product usually ends up in stores a day or two later.

I played the first game and thought it was alright. I have watched one piece of video or read one shred of info on this game. I've decided to pick it up tomorrow... will I be surprised GAF?
 
Just got back from paying off my copy so I can just walk in & out at midnight, apparently they "forgot" to put in the bonus content with the LE's. There a white piece of paper sticking out of the box telling you to call an 800 number for them to send you your bonus content.
I find it pretty funny that they cut some of the content from the LE, and then didn't put the rest in!

I live in Houston and I have almost gotten this game at the Walmart and Target on Westhiemer (Target even had LBP too). Also my Gamestop also on Westhiemer will have this tomorrow so yeah...they should have it.
 
I'm listening to music from the first game in preparation for Fable 2...oakvale had really great music.

Cool. Knew I should've gone to Target when I heard about LBP slipping out onto shelves. Got my DSlite that way :lol
 
anybody know why gametrailes has been late with reviews recently? no fifa, no deadspace, no fable 2, it just seems they have not reviewed games in a while.

Had that motherfucker in my hand, but when it rang up it came with an error DO NOT SELL UNTIL 10/21. Any tips on getting shit early there?

Not really, I just got lucky. Same with the PSP slim. Of course it was just one or two days before the release date, but still.

Everyone about to jump in: once you get your bearings try playing with the gold trail off. Adventuring and discovery things this way is pretty damn awesome IMO.

Naw, you can pay it off while your there. Normally you do that before 12 and they close the doors at 12 you come back in and they hand you the game.

This needs further clarification.

I don't see how they could manufacture the LE and forget the bonus stuff. I mean, thats a bit much for a factory error.

Edit: And hurray my copy finally shipped from Amazon. It is only 11PM on Monday night.
 
I didn't get to hold it in my hand, but from what I can see and was told, it was just a cardboard sleeve with the case inside and a paper telling you what to do to get your bonus content. THe case was obviously no bigger than a regular DVD case/sleeve though.

I got a quest to find a date for this guy. His father was worried about his kid not having a wife yet and I agreed to find him a woman. Then I talked to the kid and it turns out he wants a date, but doesn't want a woman...

OK, whatever - so I had to go to the nearest town to find him a suitable "person" for him.

Got back and it was dark, so there was nobody on the streets. I figured I'd go see my family, who happened to live in the same town. The wife was looking for sex, as always, and I figured I'd nail her and then it'd be daylight.

Walk in and she's not there. Start walking back downstairs and my son comes up and talks to me. I do the sock puppet expression for him to bump his 'YOU'RE FUNNY' response up and we go outside to look for mom, that whore. What's she doing out at this hour of the night?

While standing in the street I see a new icon on my d-pad quick select for expressions and actions. So I push it...

It's the 'find me a date' thing and it gets the details from whoever you have selected...my very young son.

"OH HE LOOKS PERFECT!" the voiceover says. "GET ME THOSE DETAILS."

I realized I just pimped my kid. To a gay pedophile.

So I, a guy who has his righteousness pinned to the max and is holier than the Pope, went and killed that guy, his father (who gave me the quest) and some dude who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I too would like to confirm that Amazon does seem to be shipping out the game now. I ordered the Release Date delivery for 5 bucks and somehow its shipping from KY to FL! I'll take 5 bucks for overnight shipping any time, lol.

I just discovered about the dissapointing no character bringing in. Almost, imo, doesnt make it worth it. Sure my friend can come into my world and see how mine is different, but if he cant bring his character or weapons, whats the real point in questing etc. Sure, he'll get the weapons or loot or w/e, but come on.

Still really hyped for this game but my close friend thats getting it will be dissapointed. Hopefully I get proven wrong tomorrow when the patch comes out.

The online patch could fix that. Either way, ALOT of people are going to complain about it, and it could get patched in later down the line...

Hopefully either one comes true. But if not, like posted earlier, online co-op'ing should still be somewhat fun.

Dont see why they would let you trade with the orbs but not henchmen, unless they really do plan on making xbl co-op hero + hero.

That content, which requires Xbox Live, featured the following.
• “The Hall of the Dead” Dungeon
• “The Wreckager” Legendary Cutlass Weapon
• Spartan armor and energy sword

If what we heard is true, some of you may not even get that.

According to the report, GameStop corporate has already informed stores that "the majority of Fable II LEs have shipped without the DLC cards inside the case." Allegedly, that's due to two different manufacturing plants.

"Gamestop has told stores that cases WITH an orange '48 hours of live' sticker includes the content, whereas the copies of the game without said sticker do not have the card," the reader wrote. "I can vouch for the missing DLC because I have my copy in hand and it does not include it."

We've checked in with Microsoft PR to verify if this information is true or not, and, if so, how they plan on distributing the content to buyers of Fable II's Collector's Edition. Consider this rumor for now, but to be on the safe side, you might want to make sure your copy has one of those fancy orange stickers on it.
