I wonder how many people are actually gonna show up at my Gamestop for the midnight launch...cant be too many.

Had a nice, decent crowd at my local suburbia GS. This is one of those 360 games that is going to sale and sale a lot.

Now time to play. :D

But doesn't it ruin the experience of exploration? :\
I dunno, I guess it's different for many people..it just feels like they're holding my hand through the game with the inclusion of a crumb trail. It's just like a guide, which make me feel very dirty every time I look into them :lol

As someone who likes to explore in RPGs, I love the trail. Basically, it tells me where NOT to go right away, so that I can enjoy wandering around and finding things until I feel I've fully explored an area, and I can easily save the "right way" for last.

I did the exact same thing in Dead Space and Bioshock. Turned on the blue line/quest arrow and went in every single direction but the way they were pointing, to explore and find items. It's invaluable for corridor-type games since it's so easy to get disoriented when you go off exploring, since many of the hallways and such (naturally) look similar. Dunno how much I'll use it in an open game like Fable 2, though. Probably keep it to a minimum.

I'm sure that when you have a specific place you want to get to (a house, for example) you will turn it on. Some games have decent map systems. Fable 2 is not one of those games.

AUS GAF, was at EB today, they where phoning everyone up Fable 2 is out now, think the date got pushed forward because of the K-Mart fuck up, so go get it...... i didnt get it, might be able to get LBP on Thursday.... will see.

Got the call from JB that my LE was in!

It would be nice if that's true about LBP. Although that means my Fable 2 time will be initially short :)

Gamefly shipped a copy of this to me today. I'm not even done with Saint's Row 2 and haven't even started Dead Space. The onslaught officially begins.
Same exact boat as I am. It's a good problem to have. Also, don't forget Far Cry 2.

Oh, I'm sure I'll use it. I'd just rather not abuse it, not in a game like Fable 2. If the map is that shitty and basically requires you to use the bread crumbs a lot, though, then so be it.

What is the problem... No one on my friends list can hear me. I can hear them, but they can't hear me. And when I remove them, and reload the area, they can hear me.

picked it up at 12, and was surprised by the turnout at the gamestop. probably had 40 people there.

anyways been playing for about 2 hours and seems about what i was thinking it would be. The story seems like it will be very interesting. The art style, especially the lighting, amazes me. I made it to my first city, and its crazy because i actually feel like im in an actual city, its sort of feels authentic.

Looking at some of the houses on the countryside make me want to buy a house, and start a family. However im too poor for that right now =(...ahhh maybe one day

edit: also anyone else love the music? lol i wanna leave on the pause screen music when i go to bed, its so peaceful

I took someone off of my friends' list, and they could hear me. I re-added them, and now they can't. What the heck?

There are a ton of my friends on and I want to talk to them. : (

Are you doing any exploring? Because it took me close to about 5 hours or so to get to the first town. I also did some heavy exploring and found a ton of items.

That is weird...have not booted the game since yesterday and I could talk to everyone, but I know now one on my FL had the game.

Try setting the options to "Friends Only" to see if that works. I wonder if there is a bug in the game that when you have it on open and some of your friends happen to be in your game.

Weird....

Just finished playing Dead Space and checked my friend's list and saw you playing. Bastardo :D ! I'll have mine sometime on the morrow. Enjoy it, man. I can't wait to dig in!

Stop talking about crowds at your Gamespots tonight, people. I didn't pre-order Fable 2 and would very much like to hold on to the hope that a copy will be available tomorrow.

I have tried everything. Changed my orb settings, rebooted my box, removed people from my list so they could hear me, then re-added them and they can't...

I just remembered that this happened the other day, too with a friend of mine. Come to think of it, I haven't talked to any of my friends yet.

Co-op patch might fix it? Is that up yet?

What are the various dyes in game? Also are there any helmet type head equipment?

You can dye your clothes. There's a ton of different colors. Also you can equip your character with hats or masks or other accessories (eye patches, for example).

I'm headed out to the midnight launch right now...I go with trepidation, however. My 360 just froze for the first time today while playing a game.

This is my second 360, due to the first one rrod'ing. I hope the xbox holds out so I can get some game time in. Thankfully there are so many games coming out on multiple systems, but I would hate to finally jump in to Fable II or Gears 2 and have it kaput on me.

so we were closing our store after working midnight. We got a phone call and a guy stopped by because walmart was refusing to sell the game.

ahha they were probably confused on release dates. So these poor guys didnt get the game.

I saw a chicken suit in some video. That will be mine.

You can also dye your hair as well in addition to your clothes.

This is strange...As previously reported my Gamestop got screwed with the Limited Editions that do not have the codes. I called Game Crazy and all of theirs has the sticker. I spoke the Manager and he said the only thing he can think of was that they received there L.E. pretty early and perhaps it was a first run batch. The Game Crazy said they have about 40 copies and all of them have the orange Live sticker on them. I did not pre-order at Game Crazy but he said he had extras of the L.E.

I am striking out on the L.E. Game Guide though. My GS only had 1 extra, Game Crazy said they have none, but he said I might get lucky and someone may not pick it up...I kind of thought that would suck if I was the guy that reserved it and because I do not go to a midnight launch that my L.E. guide is sold...his loss...not mine...f' him....btw my Fable 2 character is evil as well...

yeah but i cant wait until people blame gamestop for this ^

I had a kid get kinda irritated tonight about his collectors. I told him we didnt make the game, nor did we package it.

We are supposed to get some sort of codes sent to the store which we can give to the people who bought collectors

Can you dye specific sections of your clothes? Or does one dye cover a whole equipment type?

I snagged it tonight.
I have non-gamers staying in my living room for a week. I dont want to play in that environment. I just went tonight cuz I wanted out of the house and already had the pre-order.

:lol @ gamestop guy peddling guides. Who the fuck uses guides in the internet age?

Played a couple of hours of this after work. Not bad. Not bad at all. Good charm, nice look, and I love the voice of the gypsy lady. I haven't done too much fighting yet, but it's early. I find myself being a nice guy still though. :lol I hope I can create a separate female character and make her a bitch. :D

This voice chat thing is SO stupid. What on earth could be causing this.

I went to EB today to get it in Melbourne. There were five other people there picking it up too. I managed to grab the last CE (same price as standard edition) because it was sitting out front. Others walked in line in front of me, grabbed the standard edition, and paid $100. I paid $79 (price match JB) for CE while standing back feeling smug :]

It will be a killer seller.

Check your privacy settings, it may have been a change to the voice settings on the Dashboard. I know that all the sudden my FoF was unblocked out of nowhere today so I had to re-block it.

Damn cop, your copy of Fable II is so fucked up beyond belief. :lol

Tell me about it.

Yeah, the first thing I did was check all the usual suspects. Settings in the Guide, settings on Xbox.com... the thing about it is that it doesn't make any sense. Why can I hear them but they can't hear me - and I can talk just fine to anyone NOT on my friends list?

Ugh.

Question: Are there any love interests that have peronalities or stories? In Fable I there was only 1 and she was evil. I'm just curious because I cant be as invested in the family as old pete promised if they are just one of the random clones that wander Albion.

for the love of crap, someone please help me. i just got a new wife in bowerstone, bought a house, set as marital house, and want to give her some lovin'. but every time i go to the bed it just says "can't sleep now." what gives?

put it in her hole man! goddamn, why do we need to tell you how this works?

Naw, but for real, its been asked at least 3 times in this thread :lol

So I got a LE edition, and inside it comes with a card with a code thing and some hints on how to get to the spot to unlock the downloadable dungeon and also mentions a
chest near the first teleporter in the game. I got to the first chest and it mentions going to www.fable2.com for details.

How do I get the spartan armor and energy sword? The site says nothing about it, only flash games that apparently unlock some items.

Went to my Gamestop at midnight since I was just getting off work and I was shocked at the Fable frenzy. There were at least 100 people in line and I got there about 10 minutes late. I figured the game would be popular but this was insane! From what I've played so far it's well deserved.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to put descriptive text at the top of the screen makes me sad. Half of it is cut off on my TV. :(
Pause the game, go to Options>Game>Tutorials>Off.
