I'm pretty sure they've also given other reasons for why they can't use Samanoske. Apparently, they can't use someone like Samanoske because the character was modeled after a real person and they'd rather not deal with the extra fees to net the character.

Takeshi Kaneshiro right? I know him from Wong Kar Wai flicks. Dude is pretty bawse.
But if they could use likenesses of actors, I'd want Jean Reno's Onimusha 3 character or his SFIII:3S cameo.

Judging by the posts on CU and SRK... Megaman X, Gene, Ms Marvel, Gambit, Venom/Carnage, Cyclops and Psylocke are the most popular.

The 3rd Capcom slot is very variable but Gene and MMX lead the pack. It's basically going to be a repeat of the previous DLC poll only removing the characters that made it into UMVC3 (Ghost Rider, Dr Strange, Iron Fist, Phoenix Wright, Vergil, Strider, Frank West).
