Official Madden 13 Xbox 360 Online Franchise Thread:Stat padding? Never heard of him.

My offense is a disaster without Hester. Just finished practice and beat the cpu 9 to 6. :( I had a rotation set in Madden of where I knew where each receiver would be and now everything is messed up for me.

Routes messed up, my timing messed up. Three more weeks to go. :x

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.
After reading this, I kind of think trades should be completed in-game before they are submitted to the trade council. It seems like most trades are gonna be approved, so we could just reverse the ones that are denied.

that would cause cap issues I would assume.

It kind of sucks for Rinse that Trasher backed out of the deal because somene(s) on the shadow council told him he was getting screwed. At least, I assume that's what happenened, since I don't think the trade details were posted in the thread.

The salary cap hits being taken for completing a trade in-game and then the trade being vetoed ex post facto seem to make starting trades in game a complete non starter.

System as is is fine for the overwhelming majority of cases.

Maybe this will dissuade Madden GAF from being trade crazy. There are hardly ever big trades done in the NFL, and if they happen it's in the off season. You never see a big trade go down during the regular season.

You were taking Trasher to the cleaners to be honest, I'm glad it fell through.

I just give everyone the ok when they ask for approval because I don't want this shadow council talk bullshit. Say yes to everyone and then you don't have to hear about it.

Welli just said he discussed transactions with everyone else to determine if they should go through. Kind I laughable that we pretend at fairness with the "no voting on trades in conference". Who needs to vote when you can just tell ol 2 kills how he should vote.

Lol

I told Luke my opinion before he told me his.

Just so we're clear, it was Cliff Avril, the one year FA for Trashers first rounder. Would anyone have accepted that aside from him?

Further, what's the point of the shadow council? What's there to vote on if we aren't protecting morons from themselves.

He offered it.

And why does it take me making it public for him to respond? I didn't know that he was really rejecting the deal till today, we agreed on the deal November 5th.

Dude knew he was in the wrong and just kept ducking my pm's.

I'm playing halo and there are two guys talking to each other about child custody payments and issues with their kids mothers.

I'm going back to call of duty

Rinse, give it up friend. You may have overwhelming support for this to go through but the precedent it would set is bad for the league at this juncture.

Moving forward there does need to be clear cut rules for trades deemed locked in. A phrase, or bringing it up for vote or something that would signal it being done in blood.

Unfortunately, the commish and co. can't plan and institute a plan for everything so sometimes a course of action has to come on the fly after the fact.

I will drop it, but I fail to see how holding somebody accountable to a deal that has been agreed to and passed through the council would set a negative precedent for this league.

I don't know what's going on with the trade, and I don't really feel like reading right now, but I deferred my vote to FMT because I wasn't clear on the rules for trading 1 year FAs. The whine council said no last year.

My whole thing is: why didn't you just bid for him when the FA was going on? Would have cost less in the long run. And if people are dumb enough to get swindled, then they get swindled! I thought we were preventing ridiculous trades like Rodgers for a 7th.
Eznark, can I get Rodgers for a 7th?

if trasher didn't resign/extend him during the season then his interest in signing with detroit during bidding would be very low.

lulz I dunno how trades work guys, I wanted to wait to see if the trade council approved the trade THAT I PROPOSED before accepting my own offer a second time.

I'm sorry for flooding this thread with so much salt. I kind of knew it was going this way for the last 2 weeks the way Trash was acting - so it's just boiling over now.

Oh well, don't worry guys I'll forever be a 2-14 team.

It has happened before. Nothing was done then and the rule that isn't or maybe is a rule of free agents not being able to be traded.

To many gray areas to make a definitive stand. Kind of like the NFL replay policy. Not enough evidence to overturn the play. The grey areas mentioned gets him "off" even though you may have three or more smoking guns.

Just my opinion which we all know means shit.

I think it should be a trade. I'm sure if we took a poll, that would be the majority ( except Bob ) but what can you do. You did what you had rights to do and fight for what's yours.

Vetoed appears to be the decision. No appeal process means its dead.

The weird part is, Trasher told me he got Luke's OK on the trade as recently as this past Thursday when we were going through the council process.

So not sure where the Wellie and Luke said no part came from. After Wellie got in Luke's ear?

Oh. That makes sense. Trasher missed FA, right? I think I remember him having to deal with the website. :(

Looks like I can't get on Halo for a while... shit came up. :(

[edit]Nooooo! I wanted to play with Wells. Guaranteed wins. Wellie is our glue!

We got some trade problemzzz

If it's agreed upon by both people and the "council" It's not cool to back out at the last minute. Sucks Rinse but it won't be overturned.

bluemax, I'll leave here in about 10 minutes, should be home by 5:00 ET.

Nope, I'm as transparent as a window here. It would benefit me if the trade were to go through and I said above that it should go through after council approval.

I spoke with Luke via AIM, I think Saturday, and I said the trade looked questionable and asked if he agreed on the shakiness. He and I regularly speak on roster construction and just overall Madden shit so I went to a guy who at least knows what he's talking about. He's actually the one that told me about Greenwood.

I don't get what the issue is regarding votes, the council approved it.

I feel like the council is free to discuss amongst themselves so they are able to vote yes or no correctly. I think they should take it in their hands to approve or disapprove and that's it. I don't think they should go behind everyone's back and let one of the parties know that they think the trade is bad, even though the parties got the votes of approval from the council. This is what leads to such situations.
