Welcome to the DCX Mock Draft.
- This will be the first and final mock i make for this off-season.
- Doesn't take trades into effect so it's final as of Jan 5th
- CB will end up with the best lineman as he will tumble down.
- This year i will spotlight " gem ", " bust alert " and " no brainer " picks of the draft
- This should be the official Draft Order
Lets get it on!!
1-
The Jaguars are here again. Should we rename the number spot after the franchise? I will say they made a splash in free agency and rebuilt thier oline to give HB Whitmore bigger holes to run through and QB...oh right. They are not set here are they? This pick will set the tone for the draft. They are two likely players that will go here barring a trade. WR Aarin Carroll or QB Kody Arias. My sense is this. If you get Carroll you are stick with Gabbert or Hagood throwing him the ball...right. Jags take
QB Kody Arias
2-
Now the run of WRs begin. After flirting with the Atlanta Falcons for Roddy White, the front office decided it would be wiser to draft a young stud on a rookie contract they trade for one on a Pro Bowl like contract. Wise move. One would say the
" No Brainer" pick of the draft. Browns select
WR Aarin Carroll
3-
Arizona is in shambles. A QB is a must after missing out on Jay Cutler in free agency but they also need a stud WR. As mentioned with Jacksonville, QB needs always wins out. The Cards settle for
QB Mike Flenorl
4-
The Ravens saga continues as director or player development and GM Livewire is awol. Last season they shocked the world in drafting QB Pharaoh Phillips. A 6 or 7th round projected QB in the first round. The draft falls into the hands of the assistant to the GM. He has stated he will have no issue drafting best available regardless of the roster.
" bust alert "Ravens select
QB Grant Mitchell
5-
new coach and GM. They have holes on the offensive line and an upgrade in QB would be nice. To bad for KC the QB pool is rich this season so addressing the OL makes too much sense. Chiefs take
RG Tyler Everett
6-
The Vikings suffered at set back last season after a promising first season. Trading away Adrian Peterson for the Colts entire draft save the first rounder and cutting DE Jared Allen, the Vikings cleaned house and ushered a wave of youth...to bad the talent didn't come with it. The Vikings struggled and making some key signing to plug the DE issues the holes are still glaring. CB and MLB are in urgent need. The Vikings take
MLB Daimone Rodgers
7-
In a day where Carolina trades MLB Jon Beason to Philly for WR Maclin and a third rounder, they made another splash trading up to this pick. They must have scouted a player that is a must have here. The only holes are on defense with DT and maybe Beason's replacement. I think the plans are to start Kuechly there and draft
DT R.T. Calhoun
8-
Gang Green had a rough season. They cut ties with both Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. They still have a need at QB but there are no impact QBs to be had and any others left would be a HUGE reach here. The biggest need otherwise would be at LOLB and they take one in
Ashton Blue
9-
Cards are going to select an impact wide out they have missed since trading away Fitzgerald. They think they have one in
WR Bronson Rivers
10-
Seatle has a gifted roster. Letting CB Browner go might have been a cap move but whatever it was its going to make way for his replacement in
CB Devin Orange
11-
Same situation as the Chiefs, the Jaguars will take a WR here unless there is a trade. welcome to sunny Florida
WR Blair Phillips
12-
After saying good bye to the Falcons all pro WR Roddy White, the Falcons sitting here are poised to draft his replacement and Julio Jones new running mate. There have been rumors about trading down from this spot and also the Falcons drafting a stud C that they have been needed since Todd McClure decided to take a year off and leave them with a huge hole. If the Falcons stay here, expect them to take
C Bret Peterson
13-
The Titans revamped the team defense with all world MLB Zuzek. They made a deal to acquire FS Micheal Huff who will serve CB and possibly SS duties unless they draft a SS here and make Huff a permanent CB. Titans draft
SS Efrem Sanders
14-
the Dolphins traded down to fully maximize the draft value of its seventh overall. Now they draft here at 14th and added a second round pick to play with. WR has been the target and it wasnt a secret. They also made calls on getting Roddy White from Atlanta but had a plan in mind and didn't deviate.
" Gem of the Draft "The Fish take
WR Ronald Watts
15-
The first of two first rounders, the St Louis Rams had a fantastic draft last season and trying to make it two in a row. With the Niners in thier division, the Rams need to draft not just well, but perfect. The first need is OLB, here they take the best one available in
OLB Ronquesse Wright
16-
The Buccs had a down year last season and now look to be focused and ready to rebound. The needs seem to be TE and MLB. Tampa Bay takes the best player left on the board with
TE Cam Lonas
17-
The Raiders had a down year and yet would have been in the mix for a wild card in the NFC! The Raiders made a trade that sent Micheal Huff to the Titans. The Raiders replace him here with
FS Bryan Jackson
18-
the Cowboys made a huge positive change finishing 9-7 on the year! They hope to continue this trend by trying to get at least 1-2 wins in the division. The Cowboys could use a WR or a LE. Considering how many wide outs are off the board the best thing for the Cowboys is to draft
LE Rudy Outlaw
19-
The Rams second pick has been rumored to be on the move but if they stay put adding another WR to pair with Leopard will be deadly. The Rams select
WR Desmond Mattocks
20-
Colts got the deal of the century in getting hall of fam HB Adrian Peterson on a draft day blockbuster. They also drafted speed demon Austin Grjere first round. Colts management are pleased with Peterson but they also added they would like to open up the playbook a bit. Peterson has quietly been on the trade block ever since. The Colts will either draft a replacement for him here or a WR to be Reggie Wayne's successor. The Colts select
HB DeAndre Bailey
21-
The Packers won the NFC North with a 7-9 record!!! They also lost 7 spots in the draft because of it. Biggest need appears to be LE. Its amazing that defensive ends are still on the board to take. The Packers take
DE Aaron Raynor
22-
The Saints made a huge push to make the playoffs last season only to see it go down in flames in the playoffs against division winner Atlanta. They are poised not to make the same mistakes early that cost them the division and a playoff loss to the Falcons. Not many holes at all but expect an upgrade at CB here with
CB Jordin Grey
23-
The Chargers had a magical season and are looking forward to build on that success and also looking to fill the void at CB here with
CB Desmond Jones
24-
The Bills always seem to find themselves in a position where they can never improve because they are too good! QB would be a great upgrade but the talent isn't there in this class. WR would be a good position to get but the good ones are gone, so what do you do here? Trade down? Or just take the best left on the board? They take
TE Devonte Tucker
25-
The Bengals aquired this pick from the Falcons that sent shut down CB Leon Hall to Atl. The Bengals didn't expect the Falcons to be good so the value of the pick dropped dramatically. The Bengals are looking to trade up in the draft and this pick might not belong to them. If they stay here expect them to address depth with
WR Darnell Boyd
26-
This one will be easy. They have no LE. I believe they draft one here
DE Brad Timbers
27-
The Broncos wish of someone giving Peyton his retirement papers didn't come true. The Broncos have very little need. A stud WR and a MLB looks like. I think they take a chance on a MLB here if they keep this pick. Welcome to Denver
MLB Willis McDowell
28-
The Niners had the best record in the league with a defense that wouldn't quit! Once again QB would be the position to upgrade but he has a hole at DE and no C. Old man Todd McClure can be had in free agency as a stop gap, i believe the Niners take DE here with
DE Adam Sandifer
29-
The Bengals are picking again and are again looking to add depth and they take a RB here with
HB Andy Joseph
30-
Adding MLB Jon Beason, the Eagles have solidified the LB corp to add with the spidermen he has in the secondary. The Eagle look to add depth and select
WR Donivan Jones
31-
The Texans reached the Super Bowl and just came short. They have huge holes in the offensive line and look to help that here with
RT Monte Chilies
32-
The Champs are here! They look to add to the defensive line with all american
DT Drew Charpentier
