Good game Cola, I was protecting the outside and sitting middle after you ripped it up inside and got lucky. If you put Marks on a fly I was fucking toast, but you kept pounding the middle so I sat there and gambled.
My D is just not where it should be. Angle made one really nice throw down the sideline, good zip.
Two ints I made were fuck it I'm going deep plays. That one long completion to Graham is why I drafted this dude, I'm not sure Angle could make it, maybe he can, but it's why I chose the throw power. Dude threw it 60 in the air and my receiver just kept out running everyone.
Also threw the int on the same concept because he I didn't lead it the right way or rushed it. And that's the problem I'm having the day after. Is it worth it for those kinds of plays alone, probably not.
Also, the FB I drafted is quick as hell, but with no AWR, it don't fucking matter one bit, couldn't get my run game going.
Lots of speed on that Cards team, if some the new guys learn the nuances of the game look out.
Giants start off their title defense with a big win at home. Pretty much everything went my way in the first half and I still did what I could to give the game away with two INTs to DRC (although I don't think he had any business getting to the first one). Michael Turner is cool.

Also, I don't know how you let Chandler Jones go for nothing Sanjuro. I didn't use him much this game, but he's listed at like 88 for DE and low 80s for DT for me. I can't imagine his contract was much either.

Gg man. the shit this game dealt me in the 4th qtr almost killed me. the broken tackles on your second td almost cost me a controller.
Canty had a great debut for me. i got stuck on him at the snap when i was switching guys on that last play. i tried to switch on the throw to go for the pick but madden gave canty a super jump and credited me with a user pick.
Wallace had a good game too. he got to show off his speed on that screen pass td.

Yea man good game. Sucks that a taint and a screen beat are the two touchdowns I gave up :/
The second touchdown I threw was to Ronald Watts. Roddy's replacement. He made the catch and just bowled over and shredded like three or four tackles to get into the end zone. The last play before I kicked the fg I had Watts open again in the end zone and your DB finger tipped it
Sigh. Played a good enough game to win. I couldn't get Cooper going either and that hurt.

Favorite draft pick so far is Rashawn Wallace RB. Insane juke, acceleration may be overrated, dude hits the hole quick, and the most overlooked characteristic, he's tiny. Dude cuts back easily because of his agility, and doesn't latch on to the lineman because he's 5'8". Also has 80 catch.
Smaller may in fact be better. Good depth guy.

Ferny and I also got to play our game. It was a GG but that first quarter was a comedy of turnovers. It was literally back to back to back turnovers, and i think back to back on two other occasions. Both D's made circus picks and there were fumbles all over.
On the plus side, my D is ready to rumble.
Also, running behind my OL is a pleasure. Ripped off 177 yards with Donald Brown.

GG. Chris Johnson just had 21 yard game. That shit was so fucking stupid. Not that it mattered with the fucking passes to completely covered receivers again and again. He didn't even have 200 yards on offense and he scored 44 on the road. God damnit that was aggravating.
I really thought I was gonna win that the way the first half went. Going for it on 4th and 5 and then coming out 5 wide was LAAAAAAAME.

soka played a legit defensive game despite the 27 points given up (7 came on a bowman taint). made good adjustments defending the run later in the game and should've had at least one more pick on that good screen read play.
what i can't stress to people enough: hit stick shouldn't be the way you try to tackle people every time. if you have a guy lined up and you have guys around that can feasibly cover up a whiff then its a good idea. but when you are the only guy that is left to stop someone from getting to the edge and getting up field just play it smart, let him have his 4 yard gain, string the run out and live another down. that and not giving the ball away are the two words of wisdom that this former champion can give.
of course it's easy when your D does all the work for you but it is still good advice and i'd like to see some of the guys that have been punching bags in the past have some success, even if it means success against me!
