That wasn't press. That was a zone blitz. CB is supposed to cover over the top, but he decided to stumble.
If it was press, you would have gotten that retarded animation where the CB recovers instantaneously. The game punishes you if you play it like actual football. Or if you actually know how to make reads.
Like he ruined the Bears. Know that feel, bro. He actually did well despite not throwing to who I wanted. He apparently knew better than me! Still took him back out, though

gg wellington. wish that first game counted cause i had much better stats with kap! my o-line couldn't block in either game. it was a fucking jail break!
in the 2nd game i was going to run that clock down and make you use your timeouts. not sure what i would've called on 3rd down if i didn't get in on that run.
also, wellington pulled a smokey in the first game! i broke a tackle with james and it was just me and a wellington controlled ram standing in my way to an 80 yard TD and he switched off and let the CPU make the tackle. tsk tsk!

I hate this stupid division and playing FMT twice. I hate his damned defenders who know where I'm running or throwing or BOTH before I even have a chance to move or throw. I hate that my defensive game plan has been solid against FMT for three seasons now and yet, his D always bails him out and my O always gives up a ton of points.
My D was on fire in both of the games we played, just straight doing work. First game three sacks going into the fourth, but they gave up 20 points which is fine considering I couldnt even move the ball.
Game two, five sacks and 3 points allowed late into the third. I'm driving and in my red zone, what could have become a 14-3 or a 10-3 lead too quickly became a 7-10 deficit with a pick 6 by Bowman. I come back to score and make it 14-10 and my D just continues to mash but I finally give up a long drive which had it's OWN share of bullshit plays and bam it's 17-14. Another pick six and its 24-14. Game over.
My offense just cannot get over the hump with this fucking Niner D. I've got shit for everyone else but they are just too fucking smart and too fucking fast.
To FMT's credit he did not bite into anything that I was trying to do. I kept blitzing hoping he'd go with a screen or a pass over the middle to Davis but he go for it. It was a straight trap with JLau waiting and my DEs in contain to stop the screens.
GG FMT. It was a lot more of a slugfest than the score indicates and I was actually in control of the game from the start.

With 29 seconds to go I threw a "fuck it I've already lost" 5 verts pass to Kenny Timm who broke 3 tackles an en route to the end zone for a TD that put me down a FG.
I then somehow managed to recover an onside kick, drove down the field and missed the endzone a few times so I kicked a 30 yarder to go to OT.
All of this after nice guy LJ turned down a face mask penalty on a third down pass that probably would've iced the game.

Yeah it did, I played a dumb second half starting with the late first half TD.
Was trying to set up a blitz that I shouldn't be trying on that side of the field late in the half and that gave you a shot. You caught me over the middle while I'm trying to run around and hot route guys. Dumb play late with the clock. Trying to hit stick your WR late when a tackle would've sufficed. Deserved to lose.
Your run D was interesting, Bryant (your user play with him) saves your butt, because I had more blockers on that side but he kept overwhelming my men at the point of attack. Good pass rush by you, got hit often.
I thought I was going to cruise because of the early success I had, and played poorly in the second half. You did a good job though, figured some things out and attacked. Especially that late throw, you flooded Byrd and I was in a bind.
You had two guys wide open over the middle on your last two drives, on that last play too. Formation had me worried and overplayed the outside.
I whiffed bad on a run play in the first half where I didn't realize it was me in the picture until Spiller got past me. I focused a little bit more after that.
I had actually kind of given up in the second half, after I threw all those picks to end the first half I decided I'd just run it as much as possible and not try any risky throws.
The last throw, the guy was open but I threw a bullet because of those picks on deep balls in the first half. I swear the majority of my picks now come on slants where I force it or deep balls where the safety comes back and makes a play.
I felt like you put on a precision passing clinic, fitting it in tight coverage, hitting guys on the sideline. I saw you make throws I only dream about making.
Also I got scared when Clemons went out early with an injury. Luckily it was just cramps but ugh. Dude is like the third leading sack man in this franchise behind JPP and Mario Williams. I'd be in trouble without him.

I felt you giving up too, not intended as an insult either. Most people would go pass happy, but you went back to the run and it worked.
On that one int my safety nabbed I think you need to just bullet and lead inside hard. It was a bit straight and he's quick enough to make a play.

BTW I don't mind PWilly that much because I always feel like I have a blocker on him anyway, the guy that is the true killer on that D is Aldon Smith. He kills me on pass rushes and he swallows up the run left. I thought without Smith I could run left since typically my Guard would be able to get there in time to pick up the oncoming LB, nope. Smith flies past the blocker no problem.
Yeah, I mean there was no point in spiraling it further out of control by going pass wacky and throwing picks. I'd already seen at the end of the half that that wasn't gonna work. Lynch had over 4 YPC so I guess that helped.
I think I remember which pick you're talking about. I knew that was picked as soon as I threw it. I do have a hard time deciding when to bullet and when not too and it costs me a lot.
Also, I was looking at league stats, how the fuck does Megatron have 31 catches already? Jeebus. Timm is second in the league with 14 and he's like 100+ yards behind Megatron.

Trasher pretty much threw short drags to Megatron all game when we played, think he had 15-16 catches in that one.
Nothing like real life. Aldon Smith sucks without Justin Smith bailing him out.

one of these games i'm going to do ask madden on every defensive play and see what the result is. maybe when i'm 3-12 in the last week and have nothing to play for ill try it out
I had him doubled and tripled all game when I played against him last, didn't matter. But I'm the Colts who are cursed and shitty and you are the Niners, the greatest Madden team ever

Dumbest play ever! I had Trasher at 3rd and 26 on like the 10 yard line, of course he throws to CJ who makes a jumping 1 handed catch, falls to the ground then slowly gets back up on because somehow not one person even touched him and then he runs it like 80 yards for a TD
My 100 yard touchdown against you from last season will forever be my greatest Madden achievement.

Although I'd argue the dumbest play of the year was when I dumped the ball off to Forte near the sideline with no one within 20 yards of him. Does he make a catch and a 15 to 20 yard gain? Nope. He does the stupid sideline fall out of bounds catch animation and a 5 yard loss on the pass play.
Haha, good god that game pissed me off on multiple levels.
Gotta buy that Cris Carter stay in bounds package!
