Sorry, Ando. It took longer than I thought. I know this week is pretty nuts for you, but we'll get it in. We're on XBL at the same time a lot, it just seems like the past this past week our schedules have been opposite.

If we're the only game left, feel free to advance the league -- we will get our game in.

I saw FMT said the week was open (but dont enter the score) and given thanksgiving and traveling and all was wondering chrisjames if you could get our game on today or tomorrow.

All my family gatherings are local this year. Besides actual Turkey Day, I should be good to go any time throughout the week and weekend assuming we get a game scheduled.

WTF!

Are these servers turning into 2K's? I can't seem to play Striker. I just spent $300 on a new Xbox but now we get disconnected 2 plays into the game. This has never happened to me in this year's game.

Maybe it's one of those rare compatibility problems. I'm playing on a router but it's never given me issues..

edit: Fuck this. It must be a stupid issue between us and only us. It disconnected us during the 2nd try right as he snapped the ball for the first time.

I just want to play. Dammit!

Both of you have weapons on? After wellie's experience thats going to be the first question I ask everybody. If its not that what are both of your NAT's? Open is the best generally speaking, you can check this in the xbox live connection tests.

EDIT: Here is the original post about it when Wellie was having connection issues birdman posted this

Hmm..I've never had that problem but I'll check to see if they magically turned off.

We just tried a THIRD time, this time with me on no router. It lasted all of kickoff + one play.

It's like my copy of Madden is staging an intervention trying to get me to stop playing so much. First my 360 breaks no I can't connect.

edit: I'll check the NATs too. maybe when it reconfigured this new xbox it screwd them up

K. I don't know about everyone else but i use DMZ for my 360. That fixed any connection problems I was having in halo 3. I think generally they recommend having it in DMZ, having upnp on for your router, and opening up the ports required by live so that it shows as open in the nat type. All of these aren't needed I don't think.

Yea thats what was happening with me and Wellington, we would connect play one or two downs and get disconnected. Turns out his weapons were turned off somehow magically.

Hmm. Mine are open. I got weapons on, too...

Only time I had this issue connection wise was with Lonestar last year...

Ughhh. I just checked, and my weapons were on and the NAT when tested was Open. I was sure that was it. Now I'm officially out of ideas. This is so bizarre.

Yea same thing happened to wellington, no idea what causes it to randomly turn off, crazy ea devs. Also save your settings when u change it back to on, not sure if it automatically saves the settings (stating the obvious I know).

How is running up the score winning the poll?

and holy crap 1000 yards of offense after 2 games, crazyyyy. EDIT: nevermind it was out of 3, still impressive.

Because I didn't touch them since last season and I played AirBrian without any problems.

Now for the first time this season it's not letting me connect to the EA Servers. :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

This is like a sick joke. It's now telling me that the "EA Servers are not available at this time", after I wait about 30 seconds on the 'connecting to servers' menu

It's giving Striker that same message.

So to sum up..We couldn't connect because my 360 breaks, I buy a new 360, then the game magically turned his weapons off, and now for the first time this year I can't get on the EA servers. Anyone think this game isn't cursed?

edit: servers seem to be back up now.

Fifty, that is exactly the same thing that happened last season in my games with Striker. First game was fine, the 2nd time, would never work. Game would load, get the kick off done, and bloop, first play disconnect.

All of my Thanksgiving stops are local, so I'm pretty open this week. Evenings are best for me (anytime after 8:00 central), so let me know what's good for you. Tonight's no good though because I'm playing LJ, and I'd prefer to not get my ass kicked twice in one night.

Wow. That was THE WORST I have ever played, mentally at least. I started off nervous and finished scared and miserable.

I have no idea how I can beat an above average D without getting sacked or throwing DUMB ints. I hate the stupid jumping tip animation for deep throws. I had two ints thrown because his CB tipped the ball to the hands of the safety. Still, I guess I deserved that. I didn't play smart.

FMT's rules have scared people to a ridiculous extent. Striker asked me in the 4th, at my 25ish yard line (when I was totally demoralized) if it would be ok to kick a FG. When I didn't respond, he punted the ball. There's running up the score, and then there's being too scared you'll get some dumb auto loss that you punt the ball at the other team's 25 yard line. I played horrible, I deserved to lose horribly.

Anyways, I've got the overrated ravens next and if I play the same way I'm fucked.

I had 14 yards, with the Colts. I was trying for 3 quarters..but I was obviously not of sane mind because I got frustrated so badly. 14 yards. I want to quit.

Why were you nervous, Fifty? I was playing the Colts!!! I played conservative mainly the whole game. I, once again, got helped out greatly by my defense. Felt like each pass you made downfield there were at least 2-3 Jaguars in the area. Reggie Nelson -- 3 INT's. O.O

Also, on that long TD pass to Wilford. Wow, how lucky was I. It was intended to be a screen play to my RB, but I saw your front seven move toward that area once the ball was snapped. So I was like "Oh what the hell" and decided to heave it deep. With my good fortune, your CB didn't decide to make any play on the ball and it left Wilford open. That will probably be my longest pass play all year.

And as I said in the draft -- Garrard = Future! Even though I've barely passed this past game, he's still worlds better than fucking Matt Leinart.

OK....I must officially suck, or my players just don't like the endzone.

Rors and I just played our game and I was +4 on turnovers and still somehow managed to lose. Dwayne Bowe can catch the ball very well, but apparently is not near fast enough to outrun anyone!! TWICE he had the ball with a clear path to the endzone and didn't make it because some Raider fuck caught up to him from behind!!!!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK

Anyways, enough of my bitching, good game Rors.:lol
