It's about the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4 TGS Trailer:

* Length: About 6 Minutes
* If you shoot the perspective changes into the RE4 Shoot Mode.

Especially the second note sounds quite amazing! An to be honest: I didn't like the Ego Perspective while shooting!!

So folks, remember one year ago: This is no FPS!

I HOPE ITS NOT LIKE THAT IN THE FINAL GAME.....kojima needs to realize MGS is a stealth action game.......not a cheesy stop n pop 3rd person shooter :evil:
 
Wonder if they'll make his moustache look any better? Looking forward to seeing what they do with the hair..This dam game got me excited for hair..I thought only Square could do that.

Well, there we have it. Odd change for sure - FPS perspective seems like it'd offer quicker aiming.
 
So what's this I hear about a 40 minute presentation? Is it just on Hideo Radio or whatever during the event, or is it occuring on the actual show floor?
 
If you read the news you'll see that the new perspective wasn't officially announced for every single weapon. Maybe some are going to be shown in FP View. Let's wait and see!
 
Maybe the standard view will be similar to Subsistence (perhaps further back), while aiming your weapon (ala analog button press in MGS 2 & 3) the perspective "zooms" into over the shoulder RE4 style?

It's going to be the trailer along with Kojima, Murata and Kikuchi discussing the game like they did at TGS last year.
 
I hope the first person aiming isn't completely gone, I thought it was the mechanic that least needed change

But how would you point to enemies' testicles without a laser aiming weapon?
 
Perhaps 4 is the magic number, the 4th RE was the first of the Resident Evil series that I actually enjoyed. Maybe it will be the same for MGS.

I'd think the laser aiming would always be there. It's either that or crosshairs and given the feel Kojima wants to have with MGS4 it seems like a laser would be more likely.

I just can't see Mori greenlighting a shotgun with laser aiming tho :)

And the crosshair... I dunno, Kojima never used that (unless looking through a sniper rifle scope).

Anyway, we'll see soon enough :)

Because im so sure he hasnt already. Seriously have a little faith, the man has done pretty much everything well with regards to mgs.

It'll be interesting definetly. I'm mostly interested in how Snake animates though. Before it was even unveiled Kojima said it was more important that Snake animated realistically than for him to look photorealistic. So animation has been at the top of his graphics list all this time which is good.

Yes, there were laser sights in MGS2.

I suppose Kojima is simply attempting to make a less jarring experience here. I didn't mind the first person viewpoint, but in MGS3-S, it always felt a bit odd when you would switch to it while using the updated camera.

That would be awesome. You can't be happy with FPS aiming in MGS3.

Why, yes, drone, yes there were. There were laser sights in MGS1 too.
 
RE4-like camera huh? Sweet. I loved RE4's targeting camera. I just hope you can move and shoot.

There has been laser sight guns in ALL MGS games...
