Oh you bet, probably more than ever

Thanks, I saw that. I was just wondering how I missed MkII's exclusion at some point. I really like the character (in Snatcher as well), and want to have him as a sidekick as much as possible.TTP said:Baryn
It's in the scans. Bottom-right
SolidSnakex said:MKII only went away because he was trying to figure out how to put it in the game. He knew players would want to control it but also knew it'd be difficult in alot of cases. So he decided that you'll only be able to control it in select situations.
OH MY GAWD!!!! :lol :lol :lol_leech_ said:I swear to God, every ****ing time i think, "Gee, you know what? Why not just shoot him with a variety of weaponry?HomerSimpson-Man said:Wonder how involved MK2 will be. That shot of MK2 as Snake watches is just so deliciously sweet.
So can the little guy steal ammo, pick pocket keys/cards, maybe mess with enemy radios, gave reconnaisance info, or perhaps set up little traps here and there?!
Oh, the possibilities!!
I think the bigger question is how Kojima Productions will integrate the MG-Mk.2 seamlessly. I don't want it to have an escort variation; that would suck.HomerSimpson-Man said:Wonder how involved MK2 will be. That shot of MK2 as Snake watches is just so deliciously sweet.

Priceless. :lolOatmealMu said:I hope the MKII has a kancho attachment.

If it wasn't clear, I meant shoot MkII.HomerSimpson-Man said:I would...but then that defeats the purpose of me ever wanting to take up the task of truely taking advantage of what a Metal Gear Solid game has to offer with stealth and little to zero kills.
Gameplay choices man, it's all about the incredible amount of choices left up to you!!

I'm looking forward to seeing old Eva. Hopefully she kept her suit.

Well, if it's like any of the other camos in the MGS series, it doesn't render him invisable. It just refracts light and bends it around his body. The old Snake wasn't a big fan of that technology, but I guess in his body's condition, he needs all the help he can get. Also, that kind of camo has always worked best against background with very little texture or ones without a given pattern, like the jungle or an office.drohne said:the octocamo looks a little silly there -- they've just applied one of the wall textures to snake, without taking the different patterns on the wall into account. i certainly don't know why people are shouting OMG THIS IS NEXT-GEN
should be a neat gameplay mechanic, though -- i really liked the camo in mgs3, but going into a menu and magically switching patterns seemed a touch too abstract.
SolidSnakex said:It'll be Friday. KojiPro seems to be doing an a long event in both having radio shows (Ryan and Ken will be back) and their stage shows. MGS4 has a 45 minute stage show dedicated to it.

Kojima also had some saddening news to report to the magazine. Konami has previously promised a 2007 release for Metal Gear Solid 4. Apparently, the release will take place, at the earliest, late in the year, as the game still has over a year's development time.
Yamaha98 said:Well, Halo3 is said to be a '07 release (probably holiday release like Halo2), so maybe delaying MGS4 may not be such a bad idea. Didn't the original xbox's killer-app hurt sales for Snake Eater? Or was that a combination of Halo2/GTA3?
Either way, hopefully this will put the PS3 at a reasonably price come Kojima's latest masterpiece release.
Speaking on MGS4 with Famitsu, Kojima made note of one of the big updates from previous titles. The game is no longer about "sneaking missions." You have a goal, and you're free to decide how to get there. You can use stealth to get to the goal with minimal resistance, or you can kill off all your enemies.
