Welcome to the sports thread. I'm happy you enjoyed the game even though your team lost. Really, those are some of the best games to watch.Tsubasa no Tenshi said:I went to see the Blue Jays vs Detroit game today and sadly the Jays lost 5-10.
Their were some really really nice home runs this game. Especially the two in a row that happened at one point.
I'm really ticked at the first and second base umps who called a couple of guys who where clearly out safe. Those contraversal calls where really what allowed Detroit to pull ahead and cost the Jays the game.
While I'm disapointed that the home team lost all in all it was a fun experince and it was really nice to sit as close as I did (near the front behind home) for the first time in memory.
They had balls flying all over the place into the stands. Man I wish they could have sent one my way. I NEVER get one of those *cries*

A nice fight would bring the Mets together and impose our will that these Mets are about '86 attitude, '06 talent. Can you not see Carlos Delgado hitting Chad Tracy with the Rock Bottom, Cliff Floyd puts Luis Gonzalez with a Stone Cold Stunner, David Wright plasters Craig Counsell with a Pedigree and Pedro, incensed at Brandon Webb for pitching him to a ND last time, hits the youngster with teh Unusually Long Fingers of Doom attack. :lol

What show is your avi from? Also the powers that be do not always take kindly to those of us sporting the Japanese anime avis.
Tedesco! said:Why Reds, why???? Why get swept by the Cubs? Why play when it counts, against teams like Houston and St. Louis, but blow the easy games??? Watch... they'll struggle against the brewers, and probably sweep the Chi-Sox.

Anyone know how well the Blue Jays today? Or has that game not started yet?

Its not looking good for Rich Harden. The oft-injured pitcher is reportedly headed for Tommy John surgery, ending his season and damaging the hopes of the Athletics, though there is no official confirmation.

What an ass.

Eminem said:I'd try Maddux and Harang for him(Maddux has been falling since his 5-0 start, and Harang just isn't that good)...but you really don't need any outfielders. Unless Soriano can be played at a position other than OF, I wouldn't do it.
Or if he is set on Roy O, even though he is on the DL at the moment, try a combo of Oswalt and Hunter for Soriano and someone else. Hunter isn't having a good year and will probably be traded, so you might be able to get a good deal on another hitter/pitcher depending on how much the guy knows about Torii.
