anyone know the rosters for the yankees old-timers game? there's gonna be a lot of first timers there and i think a ceremony for the 96 team. mlb.tv isnt broadcasting it :(

Enimem was it you that said the Sox struggle against young pitchers? That's definately happening today. Why do they struggle against young pitchers, I would think they'd cream them to be honest.

I dunno. Same thing happened with Reyes, Ervin Santana, etc. They just can't pick them up.

However, we do have Chad Qualls' number :lol :lol

JOE CREDE SLAM!

Kinda feeling sick here.

A grand slam the past two nights?

WTF is going on. That shit NEVER happens.
leave it to the astros

edit: why pinch run thome and lose his bat for extra innings unless you're in scoring position?

Ozuna can fly, so a gapper would have scored him. Thome woudn't have.
he must be able to fly if he can score from first on a gapper. still think i'd rather have thome's stick in the 11th.

The Mets have cut the lead to 6-3. This team always makes it interesting, they never give up.
Reyes is 3 for3 right now with 1 sb,this little shit is really turning it on lately.:)

7 - 3 now, Vernon with number 20.

Schoenweiss is a piece of shit, god damn situational leftys. Speier is a God King, re-sign this crazy mother****er.

Game over. I figured the BlueJays would be tough, theyre not in a penant race for nothing.
Have to hope for the best on this road trip. Luckily the RedSox are helping out out here, they beat the Phillies today.:lol

Fixed for ya, pal.

Damn youre quick. You beat me to my edit.
I'm looking forward to the Mets/RedSox series. Even if the Mets were to be swept by them it wouldn't hurt that bad,RedSox are a team I like alot anyways.

Valentine just missed the pitch he popped out on, it was right down the middle too. Xavier Nady is terrible with the bases loaded. Reyes continues to scortch the ball. Hopefully we bounce back tomorrow.

Halladay didn't have his best stuff today, but the stuff he did have, along with some Mets mental mistakes and El Duque's non-stuff, was enough to beat the Mets.

Oh well, we get to face Towers tomorrow. :)

You saw the game? I looked all over for it on MLB Extra Innings but it wasn't on today, the game won't even be shown tomorrow.:(

That sucks bro, I saw it on SNY. Valentine just missed the pitch, it was down the pipe and he got underneath it. When the pitch hung over the plate, I just held my breath and prayed but it wasn't meant to be.

I think Valentine should of taken a couple of pitches, instead he was over anxious and pop up fastball down the piper. Nady sucks when there is runners on scoring postion. Hopefully Mets will win tommrow and take the series.

Why couldn't Valentin TAKE A PITCH??? Outside of Ryan Blue Jays pen SUCKS. Can he take ONE PITCH???

Batting average for Xavier Nady with RISP = .1 f'king 87.

If Cliff Floyd is behind David Wright, Mets score more that inning.

Damn thats sweet. The only way I can get SNY is to subscribe to it by going with a monthly $99.00 mega - sports package:/ SNY is only turned on for the daily game itself through MLB Extra Innings-which thankfully is around 5-6 days per week. This blows that there are no games for this weekend though. Hopefully they air most of the the RedSox and Yanks games coming up.

Must be sweet to all that SNY Mets coverage though. It kills me every time they advertise the 1986 Mets documentary between innings. Post game interviews must be great too.

Got this from another Mets forum. Reports are that Duaner Sanchez s suffering from a pinched nerve in his neck. They also took an MRI and it came out negative. So I guess its nothing that a little r and r won't take care of. Man thats good to hear,no bad damage then.

And this is seriously not cool of El Duque.

"Hernandez (4-7) was forced to leave his start early in the second inning after the Mets were charged with two trips to the mound.

Pitching coach Rick Peterson went out to the mound in the inning and manager Willie Randolph made a trip after Hernandez almost ignited a bench clearing brawl by throwing a pitch high and tight to Troy Glaus -- after Wells hit his three-run homer a pitch before.

Earlier in the inning, Hernandez plunked Lyle Overbay and Aaron Hill.

Glaus took a step toward the mound and his teammates were on the top step of the dugout as Hernandez waved his finger as if to say he didn't do it on purpose.

Randolph went out to the mound to calm Hernandez. After the umpires huddled, Hernandez was forced to leave."

WE do not need to resort to shit this like this against other teams.
