I was watching todays game when they had the camera on a new guy in the pen,I freaked out when they said it was Owens.

So...he *and* (DRUM ROLL)..... the ace of the Mets system - Mike Pelfrey,both finally called up.

Hopefully the kids can step up right away and show us what they can do. Sucks about Pedro being hurt but both pitchers being called up was pretty much perfect timing.

I think it's time to get Lofton out of the everyday line-up. He has become a huge defensive liability out there. 2 Plays in tonights game where an out couldve been made and he wasnt even close. Andre Ethier/Left, Matt Kemp/Center and J.D. Blew/Right. In the past 2 weeks it has become real clear that Lofton cant play Center Field anymore, there are always balls that should be caught just go over his head. And singles being stretched into Doubles because he's slow to cut off the ball and his weak ass arm.

BTW the only reason they called Owens up is because they couldn't call up Heath Bell, who must be down at least 10 days before being called up again. Hopefully Edge doesn't get recalled for awhile; he's nearing the 110 at-bats needed for ROTY.
