What are the cash considerations?

I think it could be a good pick up for the playoffs, but next year its going to look awful. Once again Minyana is able to go to the big bank vault and gets another player. And I suppose he's a great GM.

He is a good GM,end of story.

I absolutely hate west coast games.

Pedroia's debut should be exciting. Who the **** is Jeff Karstens?

And I agree...this is the best group of MLB people I've found, Mets fans included. Honestly, everyone in real life is a Joe Morgan clone.

Like I said earlier, Mets didn't want to do the deal unless Arizona picked up a lot of next year's money (which is why it took this long). I bet you Mets pay AT MOST $5 million next year. Quote me on that. Stop trying to say that Omar = Steingrabber because it isn't true. Is the Benson trade to acquire Maine/Juilo, and Juilo into El Duque because he had moolah? You post it on every single board, my God man stop the vendetta!

Well, I just got home from watching the game at my dad's place, and let me just say:

Beltran, baby!!!

The Carlos Brothers are tearing it up.

So if true, we only need to pay him $3.2 million next year. That sounds like a good deal to me.

EDIT - Forgot what he's still owed this year, but it's still under $5 million total.

Btw, anyone have a video of the little league coach smacking that kid in the face for cursing? :lol

Hope I'm not jinxing him by saying this, but Hendrickson's doing pretty well so far. He's made it through 4 innings and is pitching a 2 hitter against the Padres. On the other hand the Dodgers have only gotten 2 hits off of Peavy :-p

He grounds into double plays in 50% of his ABs. I'm not sure those numbers will get you to the HOF.

He didn't ground into that double play. He lined into it. And Cabrera had to jump to stop it from being an run-scoring hit.

STUD.

next David Eckstein. Not necessarily a bad thing though.

Yes, that is a terrible thing. The shitty sports media now has a new target of their grit, heart, and will felatio.

GOD DAMN!!! Dodgers small ball suck Big balls.
Yeah it sucks, but at least Hendrickson is keeping them in the game (which is a big surprise to me). Hopefully this game will be like the game they played against the Giants where the Dodgers ended up winning it in the 10th inning, when Maddux and Schmidt were controlling most of the game.

Hendrickson pitching good is a surpise to me, but the Dodger offense is just so effing hard to watch.

I blame you.

Well, he gave up one run, but crap, the Dodgers are not helping Hednrickson all. Bah, stupid small ball crap :-p Lugo is the only batter on the Dodgers line up with 2 hits. Kent has the only other hit. I suppose 1 run for the Padres means game over :-\ *sigh*

Still, Hendrickson has pitched well. One run? I'd normally be grateful if that's all he'd give up. Crap, I didn't jinx the Dodger's batting which has been the problem in this game.

Poor Hendrickson :-( I didn't jinx you, I swear! :-p

They need to put Kent and Garciaparra back on the DL.... then the Dodgers's offense will spring back to life ;-) It worked last time at least :-p
