:(

They wasted all their runs for the week last night.

Jeter is a great player but this MVP push by the media is frikken idiotic. Makes the Steve Nash for MVP folks seem less retarded...

God, the Astros are playing like the Blue Jays...that is to say that they're having their best pitcher outpitched by a scrub. I'm just bitching because I have Roy O and Clemens on my fantasy team and this'll be the 2nd day in a row their good game doesn't result in a win.

Good news Boston fans! If Toronto wins tonight we're only one game back of you. After we sweep the 5 game series starting tomorrow, the Red Sox will be sniffing the Orioles.

Good. I hope they tank it hard and finish under .500 for two reasons:

1) Better draft pick
2) To light a fire under the asses of Theo and company

Even I agree with you.

Also, does Scott Proctor suck on Joe's cock every night or what? Never seen a reliever get so many damned appearances!

He's got a belly full of guts.

Tigers might lose both games today, Minnesota is losing again...winning this game would really ****ing help the White Sox out.

edit: dshfiysahflihasdlifhisa 10 LOB through 6

Travis Hafner is absolutely nuts. Most overlooked and underrated player in the bigs -- how he didnt get in the All-Star game is beyond me.

Oh ok. I assume he pitched the 8th and 9th?
Otherwise I'd have thrown him into this game.

Tigers have nads though, that was a clutch hit.

Nope, he only pitched one inning.

Both of the Tigers' wins against the Yankees this year have come in their last at bat.

In other news, the Red Sox and Padres are reportedly close to a deal for David Wells. AAA catcher George Kottaras is the guy the Red Sox have asked for in exchange.

**** you Drew you useless piece of shit, cant even get a sacrifice fly for a run there. Looks like another 2 On/0 Outs/0 Runs type of day for the Dodgers. :lol

Why wont Little move his sorry ass to the bottom of the order?

One damn sac fly,win this shit stros!

Christ, this series scared me a lot, it's lived up to it so far.

What the hell are we going to do in NY? We don't even get a Santana start in the Bronx. Shit.

woot stros win, damn them for not scoring runs for Roger.

Why are the Padres like the Red Sox' personal trading farm?

Not that I think they get anything worthwhile out of the trades, but roflcopter total.

And you guys act like Meier's point about Cy Young is not what most people think.

Look at Carpenter last year. Pitched statistically poorer than Clemens and Willis...AND he had fewer wins than willis.

It's complete garbage.

Ugh, Maddux has only thrown 77 pitches after 7 and Little lifts him.. god he's such an idiot. Tomko is gonna ****in' blow this, I can feel it.

Phew, he managed to get out of the inning 1-2-3.

Actually, Kottaras would be a pretty good pickup seeing as how we're trading a 43 year old fatass with 1-2 months left in his career. Catcher is a position we are very lacking in, so if we get him, great.

There's still a chance (albeit small) Theo may be able to extort Matt Kemp from the Dodgers. Now that would be something special.

Damn you Hollandsworth... :D Is Karros on deck?

WOOO! Thank you Broxton, Season Series sweep of the Reds. Now lets hope the Reds come alive down in S.D.

haha, Karros is free now that he isnt announcing the Little League World Series any longer.. :lol A Red sweep of the Pads would do nicely right about now. :)

Forgive me.

Steve Phillips: The Red Sox are closing in on a deal with the Padres with third baseman George Kottaras coming back (for David Wells).

OAKLAND, Calif. - Not long after the Red Sox sent 22-year-old left-hander Jon Lester back to Boston to be evaluated by club medical officials, sources indicated that one of the club’s most promising players is dealing with more than just a bad back.
Among the possibilities: Lester has cancer.
Although Red Sox officials are being extremely tight-lipped about the matter, Lester has been undergoing an array of exams in Boston for internal medical issues, including cancer.

jesus christ. How can this season get any worse for Boston?

oh and more :lol Pavano :lol

Carl Pavano is now complaining of shoulder pain, the latest in a series of ailments for the New York Yankees' $40 million pitcher.

Pavano is telling Yankees officials that his shoulder is now bothering him, in addition to his ribs, a source told SI.com. Pavano broke two ribs in an Aug. 15 car accident in West Palm Beach, Fla., but didn't reveal the accident or injuries to the team until nearly two weeks later, upsetting the Yankees. His new complaint is that his hurt ribs are causing him shoulder pain when he pitches.

Cancer? Jesus ****. I hardly even give a shit about the season at this point, I just hope the guy is okay.
