Stros fans clapping, suck on that mets fans ;)

or should I say Frankman.

This is the first time I've heard cheers for Carlos Beltran in Houston.

But that was a Web Gem of the Month by Beltran, simply unbelievable play. I would've marked out had not Beltran collapsed.

Looks like Shawn Green will play right and Endy will move to center.

SIDDOWN, Burke!! You ain't facing the Braves!!

Mets with the win, hope Beltran is ok.

You just opened a can of worms with that one.

"Wait, you discounting Angelus, Link, and Kuroyome?"

No,you're the only one bitching about the fans booing his ass.

No, everyone knows the HR Burke hit in the playoffs. Stop trying to light a fire.

I do it because it's insane. You guys have beaten him up so much when arguably outside factors go into it. YOU WON. YOU BEAT BELTRAN. The boos shouldn't be like he insulted your organization or something.

BTW, I heard a large number fans booing Beltran as he walked off the field. Real classy by the field seaters.

Yeah that have... they've been very enterataining and this does go to show you that the Astros can hang with the best team in the NL (if not quite get over the hump) ;) I thought'd we'd be blown out these two games with Wandy and Hirsch pitching. But they both did a good job.

Edit: Btw, I just would like to say Berkman's ball would have been a home run in Shea. So don't let me hear anything about the Crawford boxes again. MMP giveths, and MMP taketh away (Left center, center field is one of the longest in the majors).

Did Beltran make some game saving grab? **** I hate following Foxs' sports ticker. It said the game was still going on yet the Astros had 3 outs. Is Beltran allright?

Beltran will always be a punk to Houston fans and will always be booed....you need to get over that,it happens in all sorts of sports.I feel bad for any player that gets injured.I dont agree with any of the stros fans that were booing after he hurt himself.

Report w/Beltran interviwed on WFAN:

- Beltran "fine", X-Rays forthcoming.
- His patella was hurt but the extent is not known.
- There is no pain, but he cannot bend his knee freely right now.
- When compared to the Cameron collision, he said the Cameron one was worse because in San Diego he didn't know where he was. This one he did because he heard booing and knew he was in Houston :lol

Also SNY reports general swelling.

Did he hear any clapping? or was the mole near his ear blocking that out.

Nomar with a 3 run HR! Hopes that break his slump!

Dodgers 5-0

Woot, that'd be awesome if it does.. his average has dropped like 40 points since the break. Nice to see Kemp playing today and Ethier with a double there.. knock him in Wilson! How bout a 4th HR in the last 5 games? :D

WOO! Loney finally gets his first big league jack to go with his 4 triples (how does a 1B manage to get 4 triples before a HR?!)!

rc will be glad to see that Lurch has been sent to the pen. :D Ugh, another wasted bases loaded opportunity for the Dodgers.. so annoying.

Lurch actually had a good outing today:lol but Hong-Chih Kuo looks really good. :)

With Billingsley missing his next start and Sele taking that, I figured they'd be having Kuo take Lurch's... weird. Is Tomko gonna get a shot at starting then or what?

I would think Kuo would pitch because I can't think of anybody else:lol

Philadelphia — Marcus Giles will return to Atlanta Sunday for tests to determine whether he has a heart-valve condition that might require surgery. The second baseman was examined by a Philadelphia doctor Saturday and told that he might need a procedure that would entail going through an artery in his groin and stapling the valve shut.

"She said it would only be about a week to recover from that," said Giles, referring to what he was told by the doctor who examined him.

"It's great that it was discovered now. The main thing is getting it fixed right away."

First Giles will have further tests with Atlanta cardiologist John Cantwell, who works with the Braves. He will be examined Sunday or Monday. Giles said he was alarmed Saturday morning after taking a sip of a soft drink and experiencing knee-buckling pain after the drink seemed to go down his throat wrong.

"It was the scariest thing I've ever been through for about 10 minutes," he said. The pain subsided, but Giles still felt discomfort as he prepared for Saturday's doubleheader at Citizens Bank Park. There were no doctors at the stadium that early, so Giles was taken to a local hospital.

After the second game of the doubleheader, Giles met with Atlanta reporters and laid out what he was told.

"She said there's a valve in my heart, and it's supposed to keep out all the bad stuff," Giles said. "They think it didn't close after I was born." If the condition went undetected or wasn't corrected, Giles said, "A blood clot could get in there. Something could stop my heart or cause a massive stroke."

I was glad to see Lurch come out of the pen and have a good inning. As long as he doesnt bitch about it im sure he will get another shot at the starting rotation soon enough. :D Nice to see Nomar bust out of his slump. Also nice to see Loney go yard, Tough night for Kemp though. :)

Nice to see Lowe come out and be somewhat effective after the relief appearance. Wilson showing off the power certainly helps the Dodgers alot. Good to have a win on Fireworks Nights at Dodger Stadium which I can watch from my house. :D

Simply beautiful. I even heard the fireworks from my house.

OT - Mike Keenan just resigned from the GM position of the Florida Panthers. :lol

You know, without CBelt, DWright, and LoDi our lineup looks mortal. Wow.

Howard just hit his third homer of the day
Check the bat. We know his ballpark is juiced.
