I feel a Preston Wilson hit coming up,one that will shock people.

Whooo I was close enough :P Gw sac fly should count.

I don't think I've ever ran as fast from my car to my room to turn on the radio so fast. I got into my driveway after the 4th ball to Berkman, and was in my room before the first pitch to Ensberg. :lol

Had to get out of the car, get to my door, unlock both locks, get to the back of my house (my room is the last one), run over my sister in the process, and then turn on the radio and switch it from 610 to the Astros radio station.

a true fan would have waited in the car until the 3rd out. i pity you.
There was no 3rd out ^_^

I didn't miss a thing! :) (Milo has his 15 second pauses that gave me enough time to get in.)

I'm surprised he didn't tear his ACL rounding the bases.

Is it 1986 again?

Link, they had an 18 inning game last year against the Braves in the playoffs.

Astros and longest games go hand and hand,it proves they usually have solid pitching and crappy hitting.

It's always fun watching games that go into deep extra innings, especially when one team scores, only to have the othert eam answer back and the game continues. Even if my team loses, I get a lot of enjoyment out of such close competition.

EDIT - That 18 inning game, that's the one Burke won for them, right? I remember that. Great game. Felt good, heh.

Yep,the shot heard around Houston.

This pic never gets old :)

Angel Guzman is of to a good start with 3 k's in the first 2 innings. Hopefully his durability is more like Carlos Zambrano and less like Wood and Prior.

That double play in the first saved his ass. He might have been rattled had it kept going on after Cabrera's triple.

Their offense can't be beaten, only their pitching (which has been overall excellnt of late).

Their bullpen, on paper, is awful.

Kolb with an easy 1-2-3 inning...what year is it?

Yeah I admit that it did save his ass but at least he got out of the jam and it looks like he settled down. If it was Jerome Williams, Rich Hill or some other young Cubs pitcher they would have probably given up 4 or 5 runs in that inning.

Edit: Fuck I should have kept my mouth shut. From now on I am not saying anything until the game is over.

:lol :lol :lol :lol Steve Stone ripping on Steve Phillips for trading Jason Bay:

"What, afraid he was gonna be too good? And you'd still have your job and not be an announcer?"

Harden injured, and my fantasy team cries.

And Izzy blows another save :lol

The Stros got Cincy on the road up next. Should be a good series. The fucking Reds always play the Stros tough.

Oswalt is 15-0 with a 2.41 ERA lifetime against the Reds. Last year, he was 4-0 with a 2.03 ERA. His career mark against the Reds is a Major League record for the most wins vs. one opponent without a loss.

How can he win today when hes not pitching?

I'll call you slowrac from now on.

Shanty, did you watch the Reds game today? I see Brandon Phillips was 0-5 with 6 left on base....pretty scary numbers. If you did watch it...was he really that bad or did he get unlucky on some ABs?

I did not watch it. I listened to a bit. He was NL player of the week last week, so I won't get worried unless it becomes a habit.

The Arroyo trade has piad dividends already. I can't believe the Red Sox traded a solid, semi young starting pitcher for a completely unproven outfielder with potential and zero fielding ability.

Arroyo had a declining K rate and couldn't get lefties out. He was also going to pitch out of the pen. AL hitters had Arroyo figured out.

Wait till the NL has seen Arroyo a few times before praising this deal from a Reds perspective.

Joe Girardi is a fucking retarded manager.

Also, Brian Bannister's hamstring just fucking exploded. God it looked painful.

Hey, the A's won their first series in like a decade! Hooray!
