i was looking at the hourly forecast for oakland and its been raining all day, its supposed to stop at 8pm-10pm pst, but then start back up so i wouldnt count on it.

Boo to that. I'm across the bay and there's only light rain right now. I've sat in way worse on opening day, I can take a little wet. Just play!

Nice day for Saenz. 0-4, 3 K's and 7 LOB. They better fucking pinch hit for him next.

Edit: Clutch hit for him.. finally. Dodgers bats have some pop right now and the tying run is coming up -- shame Repko couldnt get that just a little bit further. Let's see a HR dudes! :D

Fuck! :(

Oh well, at least the boys showed some heart and made a game of it. Shame that Nomar didn't play today -- with him in the lineup, things could have been different perhaps. Always tomorrow. :D

:(

No Yanks. Which means I had to see the Red Sox win and Schilling not be completely offensive to my eyes.

Although what a fat ass.

Hmmm where did I hear that before? Oh yeah all last year! :D

PS - 16 runs today, makes the White Sox 10 run output last night look miniscule by comparison! Cubs championship run is cominggggggg!!!!!!!!

Astros 05 offense is back, bases juiced and they cant score...WS HERE WE COME!

Phewwww... For a second there I thought the Bravos weren't going to win a game like my Mets. :D
April is like extended spring training for Bobby and the boys. Don't worry, though, judging from your "offense" today, we'll have no trouble staying ahead of you in the opening month!

Little said Garciaparra might be placed on the disabled list. "They will re-evaluate him tomorrow and we'll go from there," the manager said. The Dodgers already have one starting player, CF Kenny Lofton, on the DL

Ugh. Perhaps it's time to call James Loney back up to the show -- perhaps bring up Joel Guzman and put him at 2nd and move Kent over to first again.

I'd be up for that, Killer Tomato is at his best when pinch hitting.

I forsee Willis no-hitting my stros :(

Dude doesnt even have his best stuff tonight and they still cant get a ball out of the infield.

I'm unbanned just in time for opening day! Let's go A's WHOOOO!!!!

Rain has tapered off here in Fremont, and it'll probably be light enough to play through in Oakland...

Here's a look at the dopplah: (Oakland is connected to San Francsico by the Bay Bridge in the middle)

The Mets win was bought and paid for by the UMPIRES.

Karma will get them for that. The umps I mean. Jorge Posada ball-to-nose delivery coming right up!

I'm not complaining or whining, just merely making a comment. I couldn't help but notice you're a Mets fan, though... :lol

At least our win was bought and paid for by the farm system. :)

Yeah, it's not like the winning run for the Mets was provided by homegrown talent or anything. Oh wait...

Roy is my god.

Stros win :)

YANKEES SUCK! chant going in the pre-game ceremonies haha

Bunt, motherfuckas!!

Yanks lead 1-0 on a completely unrelated play! BACK TO OUR KILLER TOP OF THE LINEUP.
