Wow, A-Rod jacked that ball out of a hugeass park. Moments like that remind me why he's a dynamo.

Unbelievable lineup. Go YANKEES!

Oh, btw, nice way to start the season with an error Giambi! What the hell! And 2 strikeouts too so far... I'd be frustrated as hell.

Anyone notice how much calmer Randy Johnson was during the YES "batting practice" show an hour before the game? Nice change, I think Guidry's helping him become normal.

And for all that's talked about Damon's freespiritedness, he eeds to loosen up. He's quickly becoming a tape recorder "I'm here to win alotta games." along with countless other repeated dialogue! His Centerstage was by far the worst in the series!

Ahem, nonetheless, Go Yankees.

Psh, Oakland's not that big at all, unless you're talking about foul territory.

Oh, just one homer an inning for the rest of the game and we win!

The outfield always looked huge from my TV! Let's check the dimensions on MLB Gameday...

Everybody ought to look at ESPN.COM's GAMECAST tool. Beautiful graphic interface, I'll be using this as long as it updates quick!

Opening Day, 11-1 w/ 5 innings to go. Go Yankees! Best Lineup ever?

Try worst pitching performance in Oakland history. Rich Harden's going to wipe all your smiles off your damn faces tomorrow night. BELEE-DAT!

Holy shit at Yankees. The Boss will surely be pleased.

what? Even when Godzilla outshines AROD?

How is AROD going to stand a chance in the MVP hunt in that lineup. Same old story. Damon, Jeter, Matsui, Giambi, Randy, Mussina and Rivera would all have to underperform for AROD to get a vote this year.

Rocco Baldelli MVP 2006

If ARod is MVP, Roy O is Cy Young

I think Roy O is the favorite to win it this year. He looked fucking nasty tonight (long season I know, but he if he got all 3 of his pitches working for him... lookout league).

I'll be at the Cell again tomorow for the ring ceremony. I'll take more pictures.

Unless it rains again....then I won't ever post here again because I'll have already killed myself.

Hmmm, I wonder whose jersey I should get tomorrow. Overbay or Glaus....

I was just gonna order a Jays jersey. But you cant order a customized white replica. WTF is up with that?

Man Oakland fans are so fickle, 15-2 and you clear out. What heart.
j/k

Great opener!

I'd much prefer their hitting to advance to the point where they actually get RBIs as opposed to scoring on wild pitches

Yahoo gets the hilarity kicked off right on time...

yeah i was at the phillies vs cardinals game yesterday...Pujols and Roland worked their pitching crew. Carpenter gave up some big knocks but they were all solo homers.

STICKY!!!!111 one one one

Indians are beating White Sox right now, they have the bases loaded with Sizemore up. edit: he struck out :(

The Cleveland Indians would like to offer the Chicago White Sox a hearty congratulations on receiving their damned rings.

I'm really impressed with the Yanks' lineup this season. They're going to light Harden up tonight.

I dunno about lighting him up, but I look at it this way...

If Posada can be more consistent and if Bernie is in better shape than last year (and all sources say he is), then fear the lineup.

Not because any particular hitter is ridiculously amazing (which A-rod, sheff, Matsui, and Giambi can all be), but just because there is no down time for any pitcher. To pitch to the Yankee lineup requires a strategy all of its own.

Hopefully it'll be the Yankees seeing lights when Harden plunks each one of them in the head with his signature 100 MPH fastballs. ha. ha. haaaa.

Don't count on Harden getting pwned quite yet.

I've got my Rich Harden voodoo/mojo thing going on right now. Got 2 packs of cards at the stadium last night, one with Harden in it, the other with ARod. Harden is throwing the ball at ARod's crotch now, and ARod is upside down on the field writhing in pain.
