So, the Yankees got 2 runs with 7 walks?

Well the Red Sox have NO RUNS with 3 walks and 2 HBP.

I'm crying inside. The Monday game between the Sox/Yanks may never end with their pathetic routine offensive outputs.

If the Stros lose tonight with Roy O pitching and with the Texans fucking up the number one pick,I could enter suicide mode.

What a shitty day.

Oh god, this is going to hurt even more with Stormy closing is out.

Really wtf did we do to have to suffer through a day like today? :(

I heart Fat Elvis.

edit- nm :(

Pfft. I'm STILL not worried. Now if we're still playing like ass in June and the Mets are still running roughshod, yeah I'll get worried. But in the meantime- you're still the Mets, and we're still the division champs.

Anyone wanna do another avatar series bet? Cmon, you're already up one game.

:lol Gonna be a sad day when Pedro retires. Everything he does in inherently funny.

Good guys win, Evil Empire loses, Evil Empire Jr. loses.... everyone's happy! Well, once the Jays stop platooning Rios everyone will be happy.

Hinske was 1-1 today (with a walk as well)

The stupid fans in the Rogers Centre were booing him at the last home game.....the guy is hitting .345...He was up in the bottom of the ninth, and the stupid fans were booing him. I don't like Hinske, I used to make Hinske jokes all the time, but the hate he's getting this year is ridiculous.

John Gibbons is doing something right. We're winning and Hinske is hitting.

To this day its been the best move the Mets have made in a long time. He brings a sense of confidence to the team and his off the wall antics keep things loose in the club house. My favorite Mets pitcher since David Cone, easily.

Ignoring defense a little (call me J.P. ;)) I would like to see a guy like Hillenbrand traded. I really like him and he's playing quite when he's in, but if he was gone Hinske could DH more or less full time and Cat and Johnson would get plenty of AB sharing LF. The Jays suddenly have enough depth that it's a problem, which is nice, and it seems to be working but not having Rios starting almost every day is tough to take (granted he still has a bad split against righties). I'm really happy to see Hinske having such a solid year and hope he gets a lot of playing time, I also hated to see him get booed by the fickle Rogers Centre crowd.

My one concern with the Jays lineup is Hill and Adams. Maybe it's just me, but I miss Hudson's occasional spectacular play at second, even assuming Hill's hitting improves (a lot :P) I wonder if JP went the right direction with the middle infield. I was always a big O-Dog fanboy though, weak bat and all.

Jays are having a pretty good season, and it's good to see that BJ Ryan has so far lived up to his end of the bargain. Just need Burnett not to be a bust.

I'll take it.

Why do you morons post that like it's some type of rallying cry?

What kind of pussy leaves his catching gear on before getting into a fight? Congrats, so your captain poked A-Rod in the eye. He's also a big blubbering vagina.

I didn't post it as a "rallying cry", whatever that means. I posted it because i like the rivalry, and what was he supposed to do, call time out and remove his equipment before beating a-rod's pretty boy ass?

"Could you hold on a minute a-rod I have to get these damn straps off and... ugh damnit this chest protecter's stuck, wait i almost got it. Oh you are so in for a beating when this shit comes off. Ahh there we go, now where were we?"

Also i think the excitement of the Sox- Yankees will pull us out of our shit slump.

On a side note i wasn't even looking for that picture, i was looking for the rivalry one from the Boston Globe that has them staring down at each other but i had shit to do and didn't feel like looking for longer then the time it takes to do one google image search.

Oh god you guys in the all-suck league are in trouble. I have both Glendon Rusch and Doug Davis, and they're both starting today at Wrigley, where right now the wind is blowing out :lol

Yeah, it takes "a minute" to take your fucking mask off. Like with a pop up behind home plate, the catcher asks the ump to pause the planet so that he may take his mask off.

Well, in that situation I think Varitek was trying to make sure A-Rod and Arroyo didn't get into a brawl...and then shit just kinda happened in an instant. I don't think either party was doing too much thinking at the moment.

Now can we please stop reliving this moment? The A-Rod slap is the moment worth remembering. :)

Good point. I'm done arguing with Yankee fans anyway. When your aging roster goes bottom up and your utter lack of a farm system kill your future, I'll be chanting Y2K for the next 86 years. :)

I believe you said "gear" not "mask".

What do I care if Varitek keeps his chest protector on? What, is he going to be shot by A-Rod? It's not important, it is just such a stupid thing to post. It wasn't a positive moment for either team. I'm not proud of how A-Rod acted either. And for the record, our lower systems on the farm are stocked. The upper levels were ravaged by the crazy george era, but Cashman is working at fixing them.

And Randy Johnson fucking sucks. Why doesn't he just retire since obviously his back makes it impossible to pitch.

And if Sheffield doesn't start hustling normally I'm going to shoot his wife.

Fucking Andy,wtf.

Damn, Josh Towers sucks so fucking much, he can't even go 3 innings. Blue Jay bats bring him back into the game making up for his crappyness and what does he do, he gives the lead right back. What's sad is that the Blue Jays can't really do much about it due to Burnett's injury.
