Guardado once again gets 2 outs against the White Sox in a save situation and gives up a homer....

Last time it was Brian Anderson, this time it's motherfucking PABLO OZUNA :lol :lol :lol :lol
If you don't know about Ozuna, he hasn't hit a homer in years, and HAD the longest active AB streak without hitting a homer in the majors.
Guardado is the new Lidge!

*wipes sweat off of forehead*
Go Lidge! NEXT TIME DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT :(

Well, tonight solved it- I definitely still hate festive Piazza. Now I'm torn over Delgado- I've got him in my favorite fantasy league, and he's been ripping shit up all year long. But he's a hated Met! What to do, what to do...

This guy is a freak.
Yes he is.

EAT IT UP TRIUMPH!

Why would BJ Ryan sign with the Yankees to set up Rivera?

Thank you for the credit. Now you see what a 3 team race it is :D

A Pujols avatar? It doesn't look right on a Yankees fan! Still, since there aren't any Cards fans here, someone has to give him props!

Ryan just relaxes me out there after a full season of Batista walking 2 batters every 9th inning last year.
Damn straight. :D Seeing him stroll out and just immediately start throwing strikes brings tears of joy to my eyes.

i was gonna say overpay him but then i remembered the blue jays paid out the ass for him

i got enough on my plate with the red sox, last thing i need is the blue jays to worry about.

I'm not buying it until the All-Star Game, at the earliest. You don't even have to look outside the AL East to see how often teams start out strong and then just completely collapse in the second half (Orioles last year, I'm looking at you). Nothing new, of course - the Sox just have clinching the wildcard down to a science, so be wary, new challengers!

:lol @ Dodgers pitching, the sooner these fuckers are down in the dumps the sooner these I can stop caring... <Runs Away Crying...>

Dodgers are this years Colorado Rockies!

Oh great, I benched the slumping Sizemore in my league for Hawpe tonight.

Sizemore - 2 for 3, 3 runs, 2 BB (which my league counts) so far through 8 innings
Hawpe - ridin' pine

Awesome!

Well, the sooner guys like Hamulack and Osoria fuck up, the sooner Billingsley will get called up. Broxton's already here and doing well. What I wanna know is why the FUCK did we send down Cody Ross (did he get taken by someone else?) only to call up some random dude like a week or two later (Andre Ethier)? Bizarre shit

What the FUCK is wrong with Baez too? 5 hits given up now?! Jesus..

Damn even Baez cant get out of an inning without giving up runs anymore. Ross was picked up by the Reds and Ethier is they guy we got from Oakland in the Badley deal.

Nice to see he just hit a HR in his second game.. hope he pays off.

The reason for bringing up Ethier, still strange though becuase we have Repko and Cruz Jr.
I wish they would bring up some infielders to give Furcal/Kent some days off becuase they aint getting any better. (Oscar Robles cant cut it)

The same wasn't true for Ricky Ledee, whose groin muscle tore off the bone on Monday night, and he will be out at least a month, possibly longer.

Yeah, it's way too early to say who's for real just yet. Come on, the REDS (no offense Reds fans) are tearing it up right now. They just swept the Cards, but does anyone really believe they'll be contending in September?

"These guys are planning their lives around what I do, pretty amazing," Damon said. "Thanks for caring. They don't care about cheering their team. They're booing me."

OH SOX BITCHES, JOHNNY DAMON THROWS DOWN!

I wonder how long it took him to say that. :lol

I hadn't really heard what he said (save for what NESN showed after the game) because I didn't really care, but I just read that article, and man, he is a cocky bastard. It was somewhat apparent from a lot of the stuff he said when he played with us, but it's far more obvious now.

"Those fans [that booed] are just the kind of people who wish they were in my spot -- they really do."

The point that a lot of people made, that I totally agreed with, is that if we didn't have so many obnoxious fans, he would've gotten a warm reception for his first at-bat, but then in every subsequent one, he'd be treated like a Yankee - and that would be completely warranted. I just get the feeling that even if this had happened, he'd still be bitter about it.

Remember when Damon's dad said that this was going to be worse than Babe Ruth going to the Yankees?

Idiocy runs in the Damon family, apparently.

Christ, Thome is a fucking animal. Crossing my fingers we stay healthy for the most part like last year.

And Contreras continues to make his run at the Cy Young. ERA is well under 1.50 now and pitching 6, giving up 4 hits and 1 run.

Why Joe Crede deserves a gold glove:

:lol :lol :lol :lol

In other news, we win and still have the best record in the majors, we're the first to 20 wins, and Jose is 5-0 with a 1.41 ERA
Jenks is 9/9 in save opportunities this year as well :)

And now we have 3 more games coming up against the Royals :D

I'll probably jinx my boy Adam but this just has to be said:

Adam Everett is the ONLY starting SS in the entire majors with no error. And seeing as how the shortstop is probably one of the busiest positions in the infield, that is fucking amazing. He truely is the best defensive shortshop in the game today.

Fuck yeah! :)

He's been robbed of a gold glove for way too long...>:O

Holy shit did Corey Lidle rip Bonds a new one :lol :lol

First time a major leaguer has called his ass out like that. I love it.

Now we have to figure out how to fix this rotation. :( Poor Josh Towers, his stuff is rookie-ball worthy now, how could he every get anyone out with these pitches?

Someone slap some mental toughness into AJ, we need him back very very badly.

Tower is a free win for the opposing team. Every game he starts is a game we might have otherwise won. Every start...just terrible.

Lowell is the double-master.
