You don't even have to look outside the AL East to see how often teams start out strong and then just completely collapse in the second half (Orioles last year, I'm looking at you). Nothing new, of course - the Sox just have clinching the wildcard down to a science, so be wary, new challengers!

The reason for bringing up Ethier, still strange though becuase we have Repko and Cruz Jr.
I wish they would bring up some infielders to give Furcal/Kent some days off becuase they aint getting any better. (Oscar Robles cant cut it)

I hadn't really heard what he said (save for what NESN showed after the game) because I didn't really care, but I just read that article, and man, he is a cocky bastard. It was somewhat apparent from a lot of the stuff he said when he played with us, but it's far more obvious now.

The point that a lot of people made, that I totally agreed with, is that if we didn't have so many obnoxious fans, he would've gotten a warm reception for his first at-bat, but then in every subsequent one, he'd be treated like a Yankee - and that would be completely warranted.
