Don't be too confident, the Blue Jays are allergic to sweeps. I can't remember the last time we swept a team.

Well folks, if Farnsworth is available in you fantasy leagues, make your move now!John Schuerholz said:I would be less than honest if I said we haven't talked to people [about potential trades], because we have. Calls have been made.
Yeah, great win. The Kiddy Club is money with the bats, Nomar has been clutch also.rc213 said:Great Win for the Dodgers, another solid outing from Aaron Sele going 6innings and keeping us in the game. Rookies continue to impress at the plate game after game.
You sure about that? Rick Monday said on the radio broadcast that there was still swelling in Kent's wrist.rc213 said:Kent is also supposed to be back in the line up, sucks for Ramon Martinez cause he was doing so well in Kent's place.

Oh, Ben Maller.com says the Dodgers might trade for Alfanso Soriano. :O

- Sportsnet had some rookie camera guys out there or something, half the homers and numerous other hits had the camera tracking waaaay off. Every home run looked like it went a mile because the cameraman was jerking the camera up into the heavens like Pujols was teeing off on Lidge.
- The bullpen had a shaky day. I wonder what it's like as a baseball fan to have a truly great bullpen. Not just a shutdown closer and a rock solid setup man who could close whenever needed, but another half dozen capable relievers who would always go out there and - I don't know - not walk the fucking bases loaded in the 5th or 6th inning pretty much half the time. Guys who could come out and only rarely choke away most of a 5 run lead. Having a bullpen like that would be pretty damn sweet I bet.

WHB 810 in Kansas City is reporting that KC Royal GM Allard Baird has been fired and that Atlanta Brave asst GM Dayton Moore has accepted the GM role for the KC Royals.
Dayton Moore is regarded by many as the next great GM. He has been with the Braves for ~20 years and was in position to take over for Scherholtz in the next couple of years. He's that guy that spurned the Red Sox this past offseason because they wouldn't give him full control. Looks like David Glass, the owner of the Royals, did just that.
This could be the worst thing that has happened to the Braves in 25 years. He has huge pull with all the scouts and is likely to raid the Braves' scouting department. Its especially bad that this is happening right before the draft.
I want to vomit right now......

Glaus, Rios, Wells, Halladay, Ryan should all still make the team
Being picked as a reserve means you are a REAL all-star!

Even though a DH is leading the first base votes, Thome is nowhere on that list. I mean, he only leads the league in HRs, RBIs, and Slugging and OPS

4. Ichiro Suzuki, Mariners 279,843

Write-in votes could be a major factor in this summer's balloting, if early results are any indication. Receiving the strongest early write-in support among AL players in Toronto outfielder Alex Rios.
Rios' 58,919 votes put him in a position to at the very least crack the Top 15 of the outfielders listed on the ballot.
Mrbob said:The Stros signed Clemens for this rest of this year for 22 million?
Waste of money.
When he is added to the major league roster, he'll get a one-year, $22 million contract -- actually, the contract would be worth $22,000,022 (Clemens' uniform number is 22). But because he won't be playing the full season, he'll receive a prorated percentage of that, which would come to about $12.25 million if he rejoins Houston in late June. The tentative goal is to have him start against the Minnesota Twins on June 22; if he's put on the big league roster that day, he would earn $12,632,307.
