Ugh, John Thompson.

After punching above his weight for the first part of the season he's finally regressing back to where he belongs.

Goddamn, why must the Blue Jays offense suck the day after they blow a team out. Come on get to the D rays bullpen so we can rough them up again.

Thank goodness! I was worried that the Braves might, you know, win a game in this series.

Thomson for Towers, straight up.

Haha, no. I want to win a game again this season.

:(

Dammit, why must we make mediocre pitchers like Hendrickson look good against us. Give Halladay some run support you bastards, stop saving it all for Chacin.

Boo yeah, Tampa Bay bullpen comes through again. Back to back to back hits for Catalanotto, Rios and Wells and the Jays take the lead. 4 - 2.

About time they brought out the bullpen. TB's starters have done very well against us this year, but their bullpen is just a joke.

WHEW! Wouldn't want to seriously cut into that lead, Braves. That might lead to things like, I don't know, WINNING.

Thank goodness the Braves bullpen is a model of consistency!

Good win. Now the Red Sox had better lose so we gain something from this! If the jays win tomorrow, it'll be the first sweep of the year. Hard to believe it hasn't happened, but if there's anyone up to the challenge, it's Uncle Chacin. Hopefully the bats aren't cold for the first 6 innings like they were today.

Uh oh, Freddy Kreuger sure did serve one up to Ordonez. Looks like we will finally gain a game on the Bo Sox, unless Jones sucks again.

I could get excited about the Braves' attempt at a comeback, but unless we get a ten-run lead I fully expect the bullpen to blow it.

Magglio!

**** you Politte you're a ****ing bum.

GOOD BRING IN MATT THORNTON NOW WITH THE BASES LOADED

edit: christ on a cracker, thank you Gooch.

Wooo, despite Politte's efforts, we still held on to win the game. I love you, Bobby Jenks.

Paul "Duke" LoDuca singled to left.
Carlos "Del-GOT IT" Delgado doubled to deep left center, P Lo Duca to third
Lastings "Impression" Milledge ran for P Lo Duca.
"Always In The Fight with" David Wright intentionally walked.
J Sanchez relieved B Wilson.
Cliff Floyd popped out to third.
Chris "Woody" Woodward hit sacrifice fly to right, L Milledge scored.

Mets --- 3
Giants - 2
F/11 Innings

Walk-off wins - 9
Extra-Inning record - 6-4
1-run Wins - 15?

When 9 innings isn't enough, do it in extras. Because a win late is better than none at all.

If numbers are right...

.5 game out of the best record in the NL (with the Cards' Albert Pujols headed to 15-Day DL)
.5 game out of 2nd best record in Majors..
3 games out of best record in Majors.

Gained a game on the Braves and .5 on Phillies.

Does a certain someone still want to do that avi bet? I believe they said the Braves would be in first by June 21th? Do that deal right now and I guarantee you will have a crazy Japanese anime avi on June 22nd.

I'm still waiting for the Mets to score some runs. But a win's a win, I guess. This stretch coming up is going to be a major test.

Big day for Brad Penny.. 1 hit through 6. Of course Hamusuck gives up 2 runs in his 1 inning pitching... par for the course.

He pitched the 7th and struck out the side. But Little decided to temp the Gods and threw him out there for a 2nd inning. :lol

EDIT: DAMN Braves, can you atleast take 1 from the D-Backs! :D

Braves find a way to loose another game.

The only way theyre going to win anything this year is if the Mets and Phillies collapse. The Braves seem to be doing that on a mostly consistent basis though so theyre good for something.:lol

Guess all the "Pujols is gonna break Bonds's 73" talk finally pissed off the baseball gods.

Unfortunately. Oh, Albert =(

Albert Pujols will likely be forced to go on the disabled list after leaving Saturday's game with a strained oblique. "If you told me right now that he'd be out two weeks, I would buy you dinner the rest of the year," manager Tony La Russa said.

Pujols was hurt chasing after a foul ball against the Cubs. "He's going to miss a significant period of time, anywhere from a little significant to real significant," La Russa said. "You can't tell for another 18-24 (hours), but it's something you have to deal with."

You guys saw who got the save in game 2 for the d-backs?

Jorge Juilo.

Good for him but you know I'm glad he is gone just the same. Picture him in BIG games towards the end of the season, even in close games in the post season. I really wouldn't want him around for those games. Let him find his groove in Arizona, the Mets can't afford to wait to see if he eventually finds it or not.

Cat Osterman and Texas just got eliminated =(

Poor Cat. She was crying. If there is a god she'll go have pity sex with Megan Willis and send me the tape.

Ichiro is back, and he wants his damn batting title back!

Now at .342 after starting the season below .300. You cant stop King Sexy

Yeah, I said I would do the avitar bet and I'm not gonna be a pussy and back out (even though I know there's no possible way that the Braves will make up that much ground in 18 days).

I am absolutely mystified how the Mets continue to win one run games. They are now 17-6 in that category. I swear, Minyana and Randolf must have sold their souls this past offseason. Its just gotta start evening out at some point. I mean, look at some of the hitters stats - they're downright terrible.

Delgado -- 242/333/488 31R/34RBI $14M
Laroche -- 245/345/495 26R/33RBI $0.4M

I also can't get over how bad the Braves have been playng. I mean, I can forgive giving up three bombs to the five foot nothing Damien Easley, but the mental errors are just killers: Renteria running to third on grounders to short, missing cutoff men, etc. And ****ing Chipper can't get a big hit to save his life. Damn, its really strange being in this position.........I think the well is finally drying up.

Actually, Renteria just sucks ass and I finally questioned a John Schuerholz move when he did that.

Renteria has been the most consistant player on the team.....albeit with a couple of errors that cost us two games. I think he's only had 3 or 4 games where he didn't reach base.

I will forever hate Renteria after we gave that worthless sack of shit $10 million to play like a $1 million shortstop. "I was hurt, the field wasn't in good condition, I can't play in Boston."

Aside from grounding out to Foulke in game 4 of the World Series, the only good thing Reneteria ever did for us was helping us land Coco Crisp.

Yeah, like siamesedreamer said, I'm already doing that with him. I'm not worried. You're more than welcome to help with avatar ideas for him, though.

The reason why the funky Mets win isnt because of hitting. It's because of pitching. And clutch hitting :P
